Your take away doesn't sound too bad, it was a treat and normal eaters and slim people have treats and then get back on it. That's the way I would be looking at it.

I think I will treat myself on Valentines Day with some nice chocolate!! :rotfl: No one else will !!
  • This was my reasoning. I can have it as long as I don't order everything in the shop. The dog and cat loved it as they got the chicken and noodles from the soup as I only really wanted the broth. :o

I am back to normal today and I feel ok about that. I am only 500 steps off my 10,440 goal too so feel like I am accomplishing something. It really is like a competition with yourself I have even come 1st in the challenges they set too. I can tell it is making a difference, my bum & legs feel a lot firmer. In fact from the hips down I look like a normal slim person. It's only from the hips up that I look over-weight.

My DH and I are way past the whole Valentines Day thing, 11yrs in Sept, it is also his brother's birthday the same day. But I will definitely be eating some chocolate as well it just has to be done doesn't it...

Definitely chocolate is definitely required! I'm going to buy a bar of something nice for myself that I wouldn't normally buy. I would have actually got a crème egg and that would have done me rightly but apparently they have changed the chocolate

Think I'm going to either make or get an Indian takeaway as well if the scales are kind on Thursday.

I'm shovelling the Pukka detox tea into me the next two days in a bid to debloat for the scales. That's great you and see and feel changes makes it all worthwhile doesn't it.
  • If you plan on making indian I can recommend this recipe I have made it a few times and it always turns put well. I do half the oil, in fact you could quarter it and I think it would still turn out the same (this is personal taste though I thought it was too oily when I first made it). Also some of the items could be substituted for SW friendly options.

I do like the Pukka teas, they have a nice range in H& barratt. My favs have to be three ginger and Peppermint & Liquorice. I think any herbal tea would work just as well as the detox one as in the end you are just drinking warm flavoured water.

I have heard that creme eggs are now sweeter (didn't think that was possible) IMO I don't think you can go wrong with a peanut lion bar though or Bueno which tastes exactly like ferrero roche but much cheaper. Got chocolate on the brain now :rotfl:

I have the peppermint & liquorice and really like it as well. Cheers for the recipe, might look into making that. Its amazing how you can adapt lots of recipes really isn't it when you think about it. Well done on another loss, have you a deadline in mind overall or are you happy to just keep plodding for now and see what happens?

I have 2 nights out later this month but should be able to manage to keep it within allowances for cheat days etc. Only one is a meal out one will just be drinks, its the next day after drinking is the problem that's when I want to eat all the rubbish of the day, loads of starchy carbs etc.
  • I am hoping by the end of the year to be within my normal weight range, I am happy for it to come off slowly as long as it comes off. I think it is more likely to stay off as I will be teaching myself about nutrition and making healthier choices in general along the way. I usually look at menus before I go anywhere (as long as I have advanced notice) so I can make an informed choice rather than one from hunger. Read somewhere that the hungrier you are the weaker your food decision choices are, suppose that is why you are always supposed to go shopping with a list and never hungry?

For me it depends on how much I have drank, whether I need a sausage sandwich and a strong coffee or abstinence from all food until the afternoon.

Your welcome, I love substituting in a recipe makes me feel like it is my own and that way you can also gear it towards your tastes too.

Abstinence from all foods :rotfl: love that. Mine is generally determined by whether or not I can physically cook something or leave the house etc!! Sometimes its easier not to have to leave the house
