Piglet to Gazelle - My weight loss journey

After my exercise session last night I am very excited about my new DVD and weights turning up. Also have been thinking that before my wedding I used to do a minimum of 11hrs in the gym per week and although I am a bit heavier than I was then there should be no reason why I can't at least do something extra every day. I can tell my body really enjoyed it and so did I!
The cat and the dog were very confused and unsure as to why mummy was huffing and puffing around the living room. :rotfl:That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

Weigh in day...
Cue the brass band...........
can I get a drum roll please....
11st 4.2lbs. That is 0.2lbs off a 3lbs weight loss for this week and that is with eating more calories than I have ever done in my adult life and eating cream and butter. It's astounding.
I am so pleased with myself and I have done so with not really trying too hard just making small changes as I go. And of course with all of your advice and support. Thank you!
Another win for myself this morning too. Partially, I am sure by my weight loss but here goes. Every month we have a big team meeting and it is my job to buy all the breakfast goodies. Usually I would have a croissant, 2 brioche rolls, 3 possibly four biscuits, some token fruit all washed down with juice, smoothie and copious amount of coffee with sugar. Now flash forward to today. I had a coffee with cream that I put in a thermos cup and drank on the train into work. That was the easy part.
Walking round the shop I was thinking what can I have?? All the while putting these 'goodies' in the basket. In the end I picked up some prawns and had half of the packet before the meeting.
So did I succumb to the seduction of the pastries? Nope!! I just had my coffee from home and some prawns. Oh and I drank water throughout the meeting. All might I add with the food table within arms reach. I was not tempted at all and I really enjoyed my prawns. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything either. I think this in itself is a bigger win and I am on top of the world right now. That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

I ordered a new cookbook containing some low carb recipes they look yummy. Called "low carb gourmet".
I have decided that as a treat for myself if I have lost that week then I will buy myself something nice (I don't mean food though) and if I gain then I have to put the amount thati have gained into my savings account that can't be touched. Hopefully this will act as an incentive when my enthusiasm is waining. That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

Yes it's almost like a little light bulb went on last week atop my head.
I have instructed my husband to not buy me any little 'treats' when he pops to the shop which he used to do a lot and also to not get upset if I say I won't eat something.
It also helps that at some point in the not to distant future my husband and I may want to start trying for a baby, so having proper nutrition and an exercise regime in place makes sense and also gives me an extra incentive to look after myself. That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

It was my wedding anniversary yesterday. 2 yrs married, 10 yrs together. So I had a nice evening off with a glass of bubbly and a small slice of cheesecake.
Back on to normality today though. After coming to the conclusion that running for me is a summer activity I needed to find other ways to exercise. Today I completed day 1 of 30 day shred and OMG I feel like my arms and legs may fall off. On the other hand though I feel great. Think I may need to purchase a mat for future though.
I would like to mix my exercise up so I am not doing the same workout everyday. This is my proposed exercise for this week.
Tues - Day 1 of 30 day shred (DVD)
Wed - Vicky Entwistles Weight off Workout (DVD) - (shortened to WoW)
Thurs - 30 day apps (Squats/push ups/abs)
Fri - Step Aerobics
Sat - Day 2 of 30 day shred (DVD)
Sun - Rest
Feel exhausted just looking at it. Phew! but at least I should not get bored. That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!
