Have you found that eating better has made a difference to your energy levels? I suffer from an under active thyroid too, (although mine has improved since I had a lump removed surgically) I found taking vitamin b supplements helped me a lot. I also take magnesium and calcium tablets.

Yes, have felt a dramatic improvement. I no longer have the afternoon slump where I would feel so tired it would have me reaching for something sugary. It horrifies me when I think about eating croissants everyday for breakfast and cake every Friday no wonder I was gaining weight.

I tried eating a cupcake not that long ago and I felt so ill afterwards (headache, high energy spike followed closely by lethargy that lasted all day, craving for more sugar too) I think my body really doesn't like it. I must have looked bad as when I got home my husband asked me if I was ok and I really didn't look well. It really wasn't worth it.

I'm due a blood test in a few months to check thyroid function so I am going to ask them to compare it to my last one see how my health has improved. Quite looking forward to seeing a comparison. Hopefully they will let me have a print out.

  • Weigh in this morning and....

    I have lost 2 pounds!

Bringing my weight down to 11st 4.4lbs needed that little boost this morning as I feel a bit under the weather. Trying to soldier through none-the-less.
Made sure I brought enough food with me today as yesterday's food was a bit lacking in calories and if I'm going to keep this cold at bay my body is going to need its strength!

Might treat myself to a onesie as my weight loss gift to myself. Nice and cosy.

  • Sorry for the absence but haven't been feeling very well over the past few days. Tried to keep a log of food while I have been off so will post breakdown in a moment.
Obviously workouts have fallen by the way side of late and I am hoping to get back into them this evening.
Onesie has been purchased so this was very welcome over the last few days.

  • Well looking back over my food log I didn't keep a good a track as I thought I had. So have decided to wipe those last few days and start from scratch.
On the plus side my gardener has just cleared a rather decent area over the back of my garden for my veg patch. Just need to prepare the earth with some fertiliser, tarp and a fence to keep the pets out!! So come the new year when I can start planting I should have plenty of seasonal veg to keep my taste buds a tingling. So excited!!

FT have you tried using myfitnesspal to track you calories? We use it and it highlights foods we previously thought were ok as not so much?
