If you follow the process on page 1 of this forum and your successful in cancelling, you will keep your phone (it may be unlocked depending on the adjudicators outcome) and it will cost you nothing. you've got nothing to lose and can save a fare chunk of cash.

couple of questions - have you tried to cancel previously either for T&C's or on the basis of the price rise?

If you haven't you will possibly be in a better position than most of us, especially if you haven't been through the CISAS in the past.

As mentioned go to page one and send the template email to EE exec office, and keep going until they refer you to CISAS.

you may as well do that straight away.

if you've had a case with CISAS keep an eye on this thread to see what the outcome is in terms of OFCOM stepping in.

If you haven't had a case with CISAS before then once EE have referred you to CISAS follow the rest of the process on the first page.

but to answer your question you won't have to pay a penny to keep your phone if your claim is successful.

Wow that sounds almost too good to be true! I'd love to get out of this contract, and NEVER get a contract again and save more money by just buying phone up front and then I can pick and choose my deal.

I have never tried to cancel based on T&C with them. I have no idea what the CISAS is ha!
This is incredible, cant wait to get this under way!!

MSE is enlightening me constantly it is incredible. I remember getting that EE price hike letter a while back and I just put it aside thought nothing of it!
  • That sounds good, like i said follow the instructions on the first page, their are no guarantees you'll be successful in getting your contract terminated but more have than haven't.

any queries post on here and someone will hopefully respond.

Yeah, brilliant thanks. I'll get guidance before each step I take. I'll make changes and post my version to send here before I do, cheers! :D

I've sent off the initial email. Lets see what response I get!
  • Sent of my cisas application. Then attached the two appendix sections. May need scan my welcome letter.

I also sent my complaint and EE reply.

Fingers crossed! Ever since moved of TMobile to EE 4g I had big problems. Bad Repair service, poor signal as well last 6 months. Think sim free is way to go now.

I paid £80 for my phone so not cheap contract at all.

Just to fore worn you your case may be rejected hang in their well help it get through but as you know from having read the thread so far we have all had our cases halted whilst OFCOM intervene!
  • There are no grounds within the rules of CISAS for them not to accept the case. If they do not accept it will be because Ofcom has changed the rules to yet again favour EE over the consumer who they have a Statutory obligation to protect.
This would be high risk for Ofcom because they know if they change the rules and then EE lose at the SCC Ofcom will be caught with their pants down

RC, I think I'm going to forget about CISAS and go straight to Small Claims Court. I can act as a tester case for anyone that is unsuccessful themselves at CISAS (both on price rise and also on this new T&C case).

Do you want me to hold off for a little bit until we know what CISAS is doing or should we just get stuck straight in?

I think this whole process could be quite damaging for CISAS and OFCOM, it's really highlighted flaws in the process and that the process isn't impartial.

regardless of the outcome I'll be raising a complaint at the end of this.
