Cornucopia wrote: »I can tell you that my complaining on this issue is pretty wide-ranging. I also took a formal complaint all the way through the BBC's complaints process, up to and including appeal to the BBC Trust. It was also copied to the Minister and Tony Hall (BBC DG).
This was an extensive complaint, endeavouring to address all my semi-legal issues with Licence Fee enforcement.
Two technical points regarding PACE were upheld, but nothing else. And despite being instructed to address those two points by the Trust (which would be of benefit to citizens) the BBC don't seem to have done anything.
The truth is that whilst IANAL, I have serious and extensive misgivings about what the BBC is doing, and their failure to adequately respond does nothing to dispel them. They claim that what they are doing is not unlawful, but won't release even a summary of the legal advice that they have received, claiming client-lawyer legal privilege.
Despite this, I wouldn't want to put anyone off from complaining in whatever manner comes most naturally to them. The more complaints there are, the better.
I did read something from someone asking questions under freedom of information But sadly like your response he got little or no information at one point he was told The reason they didn't reply in the time scale THEY laid down ( 20 days ) their pathetic excuse " the person responsible was on holiday " hhhmmmm
As already mentioned TVL HAVE been TOLD to tone down the letters as from June I had sim one beginning of July so I advised Ms Doubtfire it's been acknowledged but still waiting May be she's on holiday :rotfl:0 -

Then there's Love Films and Netflix, both of which are cheaper than the LF, and are charged monthly, and not six months in advance.
I doubt if it's cheaper First I have to buy a PC of some sort then rent an unwanted phone line then some sort of Internet connection Now work out the costs factoring all that in Phone line around £14.00 per month = £168 tv licence £145.50 And yes if I had a PC then I could rent a dongle from my phone provider around £15 a month Before any of the clever dicks on here correct me
Guess you didn't read one of my earlier posts ???0 -

I can't remember if you said you didn't need one ?0 -

It was NOT a " confession form "

Yes I did, in Post 222.
Although I'm struggling to understand, what that has got to do with the letters not being toned down :huh:0 -
