Because I WATCH live broadcasts Well in some cases it's debatable if it's live :rotfl:

So you watch it whilst at the same time complaining that it's rubbish?

I think you need to find something better to do than watch TV

Unlike you appear to be doing I'm only doing this via a phone So I don't have time to keep checking up As most people go on their experience for info All be it could be a bit out of date

BUT yet again the whole purpose of my post is NOT out of date
Although if the lady from the BBC has got any control that WILL change shortly

I'm NOT " complaining " per say about the content I pick and choose what I watch by recording using Freeview

I AM complaining about the aggressive nature of the TVL

As I said Unlike any other business the BBC/TVL have a lot more power AND they use it as mentioned above
As the license fee is paid in the main to produce NEW programmes O and pay fat cat wages lol
Then may be we should all demand a refund for every repeat they show
Even that has got considerably worse lately
Used to be repeats only after a number of years Now it seems in many cases it's a few months

Complain - "express dissatisfaction or annoyance about something"

Looks very much like complaints to me ...

If enough folk " complained " instead of saying " nothing I can do about it and burying their heads in the sand like it seems many on here ( ie " I just bin all the letters " ) companies like TVL would get the message and treat people like human beings

Mark my words these letters ARE going to be toned down because of me bringing it to the attention of Pipa Doubtfire Head of revenue management at the BBC

I'm sure Mrs Doubtfire will be straight back to you once she's put out the fire on her breasts:rotfl:

I can tell you that my complaining on this issue is pretty wide-ranging. I also took a formal complaint all the way through the BBC's complaints process, up to and including appeal to the BBC Trust. It was also copied to the Minister and Tony Hall (BBC DG).

This was an extensive complaint, endeavouring to address all my semi-legal issues with Licence Fee enforcement.

Two technical points regarding PACE were upheld, but nothing else. And despite being instructed to address those two points by the Trust (which would be of benefit to citizens) the BBC don't seem to have done anything.

The truth is that whilst IANAL, I have serious and extensive misgivings about what the BBC is doing, and their failure to adequately respond does nothing to dispel them. They claim that what they are doing is not unlawful, but won't release even a summary of the legal advice that they have received, claiming client-lawyer legal privilege.

Despite this, I wouldn't want to put anyone off from complaining in whatever manner comes most naturally to them. The more complaints there are, the better.

I beg to differ there is a real threat I know Agreed mainly if the fine isn't paid

Not mainly, but entirely if the fine isn't paid.

    (4) A person guilty of an offence under this section shall be liable, on summary conviction, to a fine not exceeding level 3 on the standard scale.

There's a huge amount of programming available on Catchup.

Then there's Love Films and Netflix, both of which are cheaper than the LF, and are charged monthly, and not six months in advance.
