And you think the BBC don't have the clout to persuade the government?

So why haven't they already done it?
Especially as I've just come across a bit that suggests TVL debt collection company have some very close connections to the BBC and government

    Link please.

ETA: Who are the "TVL debt collection company"?

You need to read the thread - the rules for DD and Payment cards are the same. It's still 6 months in advance, 6 months in arrears. If you don't play by the rules, they are bound to react badly.

Presumably, they cancelled your licence, in which case you received the letters they send to unlicensed properties. Welcome to the club.

I'm really NOT interested in the DIRECT DEBIT rules and they have NOT cancelled my licence
Just to repeat the whole point of this thread is the ever increasing aggressive letters starting around 6 months into a CURRENT licence
    And I don't care about " the rules "
I CARE about the many thousands of people getting these letters

I believe they are IQor but I'm sure I've seen something fairly recently that TVL don't use them any more Because TVL are like !!!!! cats compered to IQor

The same sort of letters I, and great many other LLF people, have been receiving for years.

They can only intimidate/upset/frighten people, who allow themselves to be intimidated/upset/frightened.

Just ignore/laugh at them, like I do.

What does the amount of posts have to do with supporting your lame misinformative campaign? The majority of the posts are quite rightly against you.
I've already got away ALL my life without paying for a licence so yes I do get away with it easily. I'm not paying the corrupt criminal BBC for anything.

You're just peeved that you were gullible and stupid enough to get caught.

I hate to think anyone getting caught but quite frankly I hope one day you are
Then you will see where I'm coming from
As to the threads the main reason the threads are like that is because the majority on here have gone of on so many tangents it's unreal
If only they stuck to the point this thread would have been much smaller
As to misinformation there is a lot from others there may be some from me but who says what others are saying is right ???
By the way PLEASE stop being rude about me that is NOT necessary

How it in their interest, to collect more money, and/or get more convictions

And, if it isn't in their interest to change the law, why should I be worried/concerned about them pressuring the government to "close the loophole"

One thing you forget Me and probably you are strong minded enough to do that
So many people are NOT. That's why TVL and similar get away with it

By the way I don't really care what it says It still doesn't condone or permit TVL to aggressively go after non payers or even worse those that have a current licence as that was and still IS the purpose of this thread
