Welcome back Shala. Great to see you/Slimming World at target0 -
I wanted to make the SW choc mousse today but I just checked the recipe properly and it's calling for 'fat free natural fromage frais'. I'm just back from a big shop and I bought fat free natural yogurt! Can the two be substituted for each other or would it affect the taste?
Thank you in advance0 -
Mmmmm I can smell my chicken, potato and sweetcorn curry cooking as I type. Yum yum yum!0

Annie if possible can you add my 3.2 loss from the last two weeks to it please hun. If not I will try and catch it up next week.
Hubby and I decided to see how much we spend on food each month and I have just totted up the last 4 weeks at £418! I have done some bulk purchases and cleaning stuff and nappies is included in that but no wonder I a skint all the time.
It really is more expensive to eat healthy though. Before slimming world we used to spend around £250 a month. Over £100 of this months spend was on fresh fruit and veg. Never been a massive fan of frozen veg but I am going to try and see how much it reduces my spend if we do half frozen and half fresh.
Syn wise its been a total write off. Rushing about doing stuff and ended up having to grab something in ikea as my son was hungry. The queues and the restaurant were huge so had a hotdog and fries, and 2 meatballs and a bite of a cinnamon bun!
Breakfast - bran flakes, skimmed milk, watermelon
Lunch- far too many syns and no SF!
tea - beef, potatos, carrots, cauli, broccoli, cabbage, gravy, activa 0 fat yoghurt and raspberries.
Going to limit myself to max of 5 syns Monday and Tuesday to claw back some of today's damage.
Has anyone ever made your own yoghurt? Was looking at a kit today in lakeland and not sure if its worth giving a go.0 -

Tazzy if you are looking to reduce grocery budget come on over to the grocery challenge thread. lovely people and loads of helpful hints.
Initially I did find doing slimming world more expensive but now find I can easily do it on my low budget.
I made my own yoghurt for years, avoid Lakeland as expensive, all you need is a basic yoghurt maker, slow cooker or even wrap in towels. but I haven't yet found a syn free one, though now I am almost at target am considering doing it again as used to love my 5p yoghurt.Slimming World at target0 -
