My food for today. Not enough fruit and veg. Off to snack on raw cabbage in a bit (pray for my household ;) )

    Breakfast- 1 muller lite

Lunch- open sandwich with egg mayo, made with 2 eggs and 1 tbsp of lighter than light mayo (1/2 syn), on 1 piece of wholemeal Hovis (1/2 a HEb). 1 packet of Morrison's Crunchy Fries (4 syns)

Dinner- Quorn fillets with roast potatoes and cabbage (cabbage and pots done with Frylight) and gravy (Bisto veggie gravy- counted 1.5 and hope that's right? That is the indicated amount for meat granules, and I imagine veggie is the same?).

Snacks- 2 oranges, quick nibble of icing from my son's cake (naughty, but worth it! 4 syns-ish), sparkling water, 1 Diet Coke, raw cabbage, 1 1/2 sugars in tea (1 1/2 syns), splash of milk in three cups of tea (HEA- not the full amount but oh well...)

    Syns- 11 1/2

Tazzy if you are looking to reduce grocery budget come on over to the grocery challenge thread. lovely people and loads of helpful hints.

Initially I did find doing slimming world more expensive but now find I can easily do it on my low budget.

I made my own yoghurt for years, avoid Lakeland as expensive, all you need is a basic yoghurt maker, slow cooker or even wrap in towels. but I haven't yet found a syn free one, though now I am almost at target am considering doing it again as used to love my 5p yoghurt.

Meg where is the grocery thread?

My son eats lots of yoghurt so was hoping to make it for him. I have a slow cooker (it is my favourite bit of kitchen equipement)

After six good weeks, I'm really struggling to stick to 15 syns (well I'm simply going over by loads od syns).
Think the novelty has worn off although I still need to lose 3 stone!
Not sure how to get back on track.
This all started last week when I had my period so let myself eat cake, crisps and all manner of junk. Now I'm still eating too many extras. :(

    Hi all
Not a great day Sunday- had to do an emergency unexpected dash to Nottingham (for good reasons though :)) so I fell off the wagon :o had a packet of Metcalfes Skinny Topcorn (not bad, about 6 syns) plus a naughty cheese pastry from Sainsbugs.. :o was supposed to go to the gym but didn't- am going to try and go today. However just had some awful news that a friend (not a close friend but still someone I considered a friend) has less than 24 hours to live. That's sort of knocked the stuffing out me a bit but I might force myself to go to the gym tomorrow as I've been too naughty this week and I don't want to descend into enormous weight gain once more!
Life's too short, people. Enjoy it while you can.
    Night all x
Edit- my friend died at 12.50 am. Can't believe it :( sorry to be so morbid- just can't believe it :(

Just hopping on to say a very quick hi, and reassure you the cat hasn't got me yet :T

Thanks for all the kind words re the tooth and the Tadpoles :A

The Tadpoles are still here ;) but so is the toothache :( it's been so painful over the weekend, I've actually been sick 4 times. Fed up with feeling unwell

Anyway, I hopped on the scales and I lost 6lb so that was good for week one.

Have a great week you lovely people

TazzyB - the Grocery Challenge is over on the Old Style thread. It has all the details at the beginning of the thread, plus loads of recipes in the first few pages, however not many of them are SW friendly!

The idea is to try to keep to whatever budget you set yourself - but obviously don't try to reduce it drastically in the first month but reduce is gradually. It really focuses your mind on what you are spending.

Mrs R - so sorry to hear about your friend, look after yourself.

Frogga - well done on your 6lb loss, that's fantastic.

Didn't have as many syns over the weekend as usual so have 13 syns a day until Wednesday, with WI Thursday morning.

    Planning a Green day today:

B - scrambled eggs on toast (HEB); may also have a bit of grated cheese on top (HEA)
L - HM veg tagine (from freezer) with couscous
D - HM mixed bean goulash with rice

Will probably have some Ryvita & cheese this evening, if still hungry - HEA & HEB.

Only planned syns so far is a fruit split lolly - 3.
