My Consultant told me its OK to choose how many syns I want
and none if I don't want.

meg - this isn't really good info as you should have a minimum of 5 a day, even if you bank syns through the week to use at weekends or if you start at 105 and work down.

I sometimes have too many syns from Thurs to Sun and then need to pull back a bit Mon to Wed but I always try to make sure I've got at least 15 syns left after the weekend (made it by the skin of my teeth this weekend with 15.5 left:rotfl:).

Have had to change my planned menu for today as have run out of eggs (was going to have an omlette for lunch), have almost no salad left (was going to have salad with dinner tonight)!

Have had a look in the freezer for stuff for today and have come up with:

B - porridge with Mullerlight Vanilla, selection of fruit
    L - mixed seafood kedgeree
D - LO roast pork, boiled potatoes, baked beans & pickles. Have got some yellow peppers in the fridge so might roast some of those as well.

HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
    HEB - porridge
Syns - not sure yet but sure I'll find something in the cupboards, LOL!

    Denise

Have quite a bit of fruit so will pick at that to up the SFs a bit.

Yay new thread:D ANOTHER line drawn in the sand after a weekend of silliness. I'm rather fed u with myself, backside well and truly kicked.

Two weeks until pay day and I've told DS2 that we're eating out the cupboards and freezer. Going to plot and plan my SW menus.

    Today is EE -

Breakfast - toast HEXB with jam (3 syns)
Lunch - LO roast ham joint with pickled onions, gerkins and cabbage. Strawberries, nectarines and vanilla Muller Light.
Dinner - Chicken breast wrapped in bacon medallion, SW chips, peas, sweetcorn and carrots.

WI tomorrow night so trying desperately to keep syns low in a bid for damage limitation:eek:

Away to catch up with everone x

Considering you have to eat up what's in first then you haven't done too bad at all. Obviously when you can buy in wholemeal and frylight then you won't need to syn those but you still need syns don't forget. Is it easy to get SW type stuff in NZ? Personally I don't put butter on toast if I'm having 'wet' things on top but each to his own.

I have to wing it a bit as we don't have SW here and very little in the way of low and no-fat stuff, we don't have Frylight as such but I can get similar aerosol oil sprays or I can use a pump spray bottle. I really like my butter and don't mind using Syns for that.

    Today has gone well so far I had;

B - Full Fat Greek Yoghurt & Frozen Berries (2 Syns for yoghurt)
    L - Salmon, Rice, Salad
D- Chicken Stir Fry with Egg Noodles, Beansprout, Onions, Peppers
    Snacks: Apple and Satsuma

Hex A - Milk for Drinks
Hex B - Olive Oil in Stirfry

I'm going to force myself to have 3 x Cadburys Chocolate Fingers with my coffee, even though I had quite enough to eat already. :rotfl:

Breakfast and lunch all ready to go for tomorrow; pretty much same as today except chicken in the rice and salad.

    Today's menu on EE:

Breakfast - Porridge oats (HEXB) with FF yoghurt, strawberries and a banana.
Milk (HEXA) for tea and coffee

Lunch - Salad with new pots, prawns and salmon. FF dressing.

Mid afternoon snack - peaches, strawberries and cherries.

Dinner - Boiled, smoked haddock fillets with a poached egg, with Sainsbury's frozen rice and veg (I think it is broccoli, rice and peas). This may or may not be some Syns. I'll check later.

Evening snack - Mullerlight Greek style yoghurt (about 1.5 Syns).

    Weigh in tonight. Fingers crossed!!!

    Hi all
Lovely day off work and catching up around the house :j
So far so good, this is my third day of SW and I've stuck to plan... - its been pretty easy now I've the right food in, I just need to meal plan as I tend to get hungry and grab what is to hand... so I've stopped keeping crisps and things in the house.....

    Today (EE) looks like:-

B - fat free natural yoghurt and strawberries
    S - banana
L - chicken carrots and broccoli
D - chicken, stir fry veg

HEA - skimmed milk for drinks
HEB - wholemeal pitta with dinner

Syns - none so far, possibly some cheese to nibble this evening

Hope everyone's doing well and having a good day

    Hello all

I hope you don't mind me asking in here, I will join properly I promise!

I've restarted today after a couple of years, and had Aldi's Really Nutty Muesli for breakfast as I used to have it as a HEX B, however it doesn't seem to appear on the most recent list on here so do I need to syn it, or I have I just missed it?

    Thanks

    For reference, today I've had:

    250ml VitaCoco coconut water (2.5)
2 egg omelette (microwaved so nothing added)
    Banana
Aforementioned 27g of muesli (HEX B?) with handful of blueberries
    Peach
Salad made with brown rice, loads of veg, chick peas and FF cottage cheese. Added 1/2 a small avocado (7?)
2 x rhubard and custard sweet from Aldi (1)

Milk in coffee for HEX A

This afternoon - apple, melon and kiwi, Special K bar (HEX B).

Chicken Mugshot and 1 x Mikado Daim (0.5)

Jacket potato with beans and HEX A cheese, with a side of fresh spinach, for tea tonight with FF yoghurt for afters.

Loads of water and herbal tea.

I make that 11 syns, although as I'm not sure about the cereal I will leave it as that for today.

    Does that sound ok?

Sorry you didn't get a loss wiz.:(

Denise is right about the syns. You should try to have some. They're built into the plan to make sure we eat a balanced diet but also to stop you feeling deprived and giving up. I was wondering whether you should try something different for your syns. I notice you often have bread, biscuits or crisps. Why not try a few sweets or chocolate or ice cream? And keep eating that hateful veg.;)

A bit like kiwi, it's difficult to be exactly on plan when you're using things up. I think you'll be OK with your SFs today because of the pickles and fruit but don't forget that peas and sweetcorn don't count.

I've had savoury rice for my lunch. Was actually LO chicken jambalaya minus the chicken. It's so tasty I'm thinking I might cook up a pot one day just for free snacking and it would be excellent for a packed lunch too. Basically it's peppers, onions, garlic and rice fried then add a tin of tomatoes and stock then other veg like mushrooms, carrots, courgettes and peas. I flavour it with some thyme and usual seasoning. I cook it in the oven for about 45 mins (saves watching the hob). If you had LO chicken or ham you could stir that through afterwards.

    Today's Green menu:
B: NAS Ribena HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA milk
    L: savoury rice
D: HEB baked fish, Jersey Royals, cauliflower/broccoli cheese
Syns: squirt of HP, cheese sauce (didn't like the sound of the SW recipe but some of the syns in cheese and milk will be offset in HEAs).

'nibble' party tonight. I'm hoping there will be crudit!s for me.

Maman I have to be careful I am a diabetic amongst other things. I know it gets boring having the same things, but I do change them about a bit. That's why I thought about not having Syns I do have an Alpen bar sometimes. Have you any other suggestions please.:) :D

    Afternoon all,

Can anyone help me with the syn value for ASDA chosen by you chicken casserole with dumplings (1.5kg pack serves 4)? We've been given a pack and I want to get it eaten whilst its a cooler day!

    today:
Breakfast: 2 weetabix (HeB), melon chunks and last few strawberries with 125ml whole milk (from HeA of 175ml whole milk)
Lunch: 1 mini vegetable spring roll, 1 battered chicken bite, cappuccino mullerlight plus more melon chunks and some grapes
Tea: am planning a portion of the chicken casserole plus cauliflower, carrots, peas and one other veg plus mini midweek roasties for bf. We also have a chocolate sponge pudding to eat but will probably keep that for another day/just give bf some as I'm not fancying it at the minute

Body magic: have done a couple of hours at a local shopping centre today picking up a few bits for upcoming birthdays/holibobs/general needs

Lush - 14.5 for EE or Original - 16 for Green (375g of it so one portion). Maybe don't eat the dumplings if you want it to be lower?!
