Morning all and welcome ep007 :)

It's freakily quiet in my house - both the kids are still sleeping and hubby has retired to bed with some sort of sickness bug that took him in the night, so just me up!

I felt weird last night but didn't actually throw up so hoping that he's just taken the same thing but worse. Throws my plans for tea out a bit as I don't know if he'll be up to eating much and I don't want to cook stuffed courgette for one! We'll see at that end of the day.

Just getting my branflakes down, salad for lunch and ?? for dinner. Will do a simple veg sauce to go with pasta if hubby doesn't recover!

BM - would be lovely to do something, I'll at least have to have a jig about at some point!

Tazzby - Cherry Pepsi Max & Vodca!! Don't put ideas into my head lol

0.5 off for me last night. Still 0.5 lb off my illusive 6.7 stone certificate.

On a plus - noted this morning that the bingo wings are leaving the building !!

Arghj, head chef has just been in AGAIN with a load of amazing cheese, bread and salsa! Weighed out a small piece of cheese and some salsa but again, no more syns for me today... :(

Can anyone recommend a syn free, vegetarian ready meal?

Tell that Head Chef to clear off :D

I make with 21g of reduced fat cheddar on top, per portion, and use it as half my hexa - eating half made it a whole hexa, but I'd already had 150ml of the one milk, which an online search told me was 3 syns?

Thanks for the explanation. I tend not to put cheese in mine for that reason! I generally don't put any meat in it either so that it can be used on either a Red or Green day as well.

So it is decided - one more class then I am going to go it alone.

    Menu for today:

B - Oats, berries, FF yoghurt
L - Salmon fillet, salad and new pots with a squirt of full fat salad cream
D - Not sure. Maybe an omlette with veg.

Snacks - Fruit and a Fruitopolis.

I have a question about Syns - I rarely eat many at all, usually between 2 - 5 a day. Should I be aiming to eat more or is this OK?

You're not really following the Plan properly if you don't have a minimum of 5 syns a day. Your losses will be much better if you have more syns - daft as that sounds it seems to be true. You also don't seem to be eating very much at all. I'd be really hungry if I ate what you have planned for today!

I definitely think you need to up your syns. You should really aim for between 10 and 15 at the moment so that when your losses slow down you'll have somewhere to easily reduce.

    Hope that makes sense.

Not alone Lioness, you've got us! ;)

I don't know about the syns, I'm not great at keeping track of them but tend to be low side, but I have heard people say that they don't feel they lose as well if they don't have them.

I'm sure there are people on here with more SW experience who will know!

:T That's brilliant denise. Well Done! I tend only to go to group every 2-3 weeks since I'm at target, mainly to keep my access to the website and weigh. I don't go when I'm close to end of target range. That's because I know if I went out of range then I'd only have a week to sort it and I'd rather do it in my own time IYSWIM.

Welcome Beth. There are plenty on here that don't go to group for one reason or another. I often suggest that people just go for a week, get the talk and books then go it alone. You should be absolutely fine, just shout if you need to know anything. As for advice: if you can be quite disciplined in the week then I'd suggest a syn bank. Many of us work on a weekly bank of 105 (max) syns and subtract from that. if you can eat fairly low syn during the week the you'll have plenty left over for chocolate, wine or whatever takes your fancy at the weekend. Plus as you'll be doing Green you can use your 2 HEAs for cheese.

If you make basic coffee at home then that would be free with your HEA. I think DG is a brand and lots of coffees you have out (like certain Costa and Starbucks flavours) have syns.

I had a few more syns than I anticipated today but not many, just a couple of squares of 70% chocolate, a small tbsp of sweet pickle and then some cheese (mostly from HEA allowance) with an apple.

Off plan tomorrow (taking DDs out for lunch) then back with a vengeance on Saturday.

    Thank you :T

    Hiya

DG coffee is the Dulce Gusto coffee pods and because they are dried milk they are 2.5 syns each. I use the skinny ones.

If you take anything in your coffee then it would have to be part of you HeA (milk) or synned - sugar, syrups, dried milk. Otherwise it's free.

    Hope that helps.:D

I drink Tesco instant coffee with milk HEA glad I don't have to syn my coffee :D
