Can anyone recommend a syn free, vegetarian ready meal?

The only one I can think of is Innocent veg pot roasted aubergine moussaka. I usually have it with extra veg and only buy them when on offer as they can be expensive.

    Evening all
    Hello newbies :hello:
2 full days on plan after my holiday gain
Lots of free foods, cycling and water as well as grapefruit on both days, plan on having it every day this week to see if it makes a difference, others in my group swear by it.
Bit of a niggling headache but I'm very sensitive to strong smells and the guys who gave our car a clean left a smelly air freshener in and I'm sure it's that that has set me off :(
Cooked aromatic chicken from the all in one cookbook yesterday and it was delish, even hubby and son cleared their plates! Frozen Greek lamb tonight which is one of my favs and left over chicken at lunchtime so I've eaten really well today.
Well done on the losses everyone, keep plodding if you didn't get a loss x

Please let me - the cherry pepsi max is lovely with vodka.

Rosebud its true you can have crisps and chocolate every day as long as you stick to plan and within your syns. I usually have 10 - 15 syns and still lose (apart from star week)

hostie - the new job (if i get it will give me two days a week off) and hubby will take up more of the mundane day to day work in our business. Its a case of I know we will not work every day for ever so will do it now for a secure future.

thanks for the kind words hostie, maman, beanie, lantanna, macpep

Still down in the dumps but hey ho gotta keep on plodding on. Had a bit of a comfort eating binge last night a curly wurly and one those barney bear cakes. So ended slightly over syns for yesterday.

    Welcome to the thread beth.

    EE for me again today.

Breakfast - 2 x wholemeal toast with LCL (LO stole half a slice so I had half a slice of his toast with jam) apple, nectarine
Lunch - tuna pasta salad, apple
Tea - Moroccan lamb stew with loads of veg in it, served with cous cous with veg in it, cauliflower, activa 0 % yogurt

    Snacks - melon, apple, yoghurt

    hea - skimmed milk
    heb - wholemeal toast.

Syns - jam 2, cous cous 2, tassimo cream pod 2, options hot chocolate 2 - TOTAL 8

TopGirl - there's no problem with eating 1/2 a SW quiche as everything in it should be Free; unless of course you've put something in which isn't Free!

    Denise

I make with 21g of reduced fat cheddar on top, per portion, and use it as half my hexa - eating half made it a whole hexa, but I'd already had 150ml of the one milk, which an online search told me was 3 syns?

I'm absolutely gob-smacked - I lost 3.5lb!!! I've never lost that much in one week before. This takes me to just 0.5lb from Bottom End!

I need to try and maintain or even gain a little next week so I don't drop out of target. I wanted to be at this weight in a couple of weeks time when I go on holiday to give me a bit of leeway as I'll be away from 3.5 weeks.

    Denise
:T That's brilliant denise. Well Done! I tend only to go to group every 2-3 weeks since I'm at target, mainly to keep my access to the website and weigh. I don't go when I'm close to end of target range. That's because I know if I went out of range then I'd only have a week to sort it and I'd rather do it in my own time IYSWIM.

I cannot afford the weekly fee to join back to a group so hoping to loose the weight on here.
I'm a vegetarian so need to follow the green plan.
Biggest downfall for me is cheese, chocolate, snacking when I come in from work and wine on the weekend,
Any help/recommendations would be great !!

Welcome Beth. There are plenty on here that don't go to group for one reason or another. I often suggest that people just go for a week, get the talk and books then go it alone. You should be absolutely fine, just shout if you need to know anything. As for advice: if you can be quite disciplined in the week then I'd suggest a syn bank. Many of us work on a weekly bank of 105 (max) syns and subtract from that. if you can eat fairly low syn during the week the you'll have plenty left over for chocolate, wine or whatever takes your fancy at the weekend. Plus as you'll be doing Green you can use your 2 HEAs for cheese.

Am I missing something with drinking coffee. Do I have to syn it ?
Just read Maisie M saying she had a DG coffee 2.5 syns . I drink coffee but use my milk from HEA so haven't been syn'ing it. What does DG mean please ?

If you make basic coffee at home then that would be free with your HEA. I think DG is a brand and lots of coffees you have out (like certain Costa and Starbucks flavours) have syns.

I had a few more syns than I anticipated today but not many, just a couple of squares of 70% chocolate, a small tbsp of sweet pickle and then some cheese (mostly from HEA allowance) with an apple.

Off plan tomorrow (taking DDs out for lunch) then back with a vengeance on Saturday.
  • Thank you for your lovely words :) it's starting to make more sense so hopefully I'll get my head round it!

Today wasn't really a good day, we were invited round for a meal and there wasn't much that was SW-friendly. No fruit at the table either so my strategy was to help myself to one (fried :o ) kebab - about 3/4 the size of my palm - a tablespoon of rice, a tablespoon of meat curry and a bit of chapatti. Feels like it could be 20 or so syns ><

    Breakfast: banana, pear, water
Lunch: pasta with chicken, peas, beans, peppers and carrots
Dinner: TBSP rice, TBSP meat curry, bit of chapatti, fried kebab, fruit
Snacks: 2x Laughing Cow Extra Light triangles, carrots, banana, 2 go ahead strawberry yoghurt slices, 2 go ahead chocolate thins.
    Drinks: Pepsi Max, water

    Syns: no idea :o

Feeling a bit rubbish but I intend to complete 2x 15-minute walking workouts later on today to try and make up for it, no point beating myself up when I showed considerable restraint :D

Hi ladies can i join please? i have been doing SW alone since may and lost 2stone but i have fractured my foot and cant walk on it so the weight is starting to come back on...so far only gained 1.5lbs but i have almost another stone to lose now so any tips greatly appreciated,

I eat lots...have always had a huge appetite and am on EE

Breakfast is normally my heb 2benefit light bars and my hea 5laughing cow extra light Cheese triangles as i dont usually have breakfast or milk or bread so this gets both he done and dusted

Lunch is usually fried onion mushrooms tomatoes with either an omelette, fish fillet, meat of the day or bacon

Snacks are lots of fruit..berries, peaches, plums, strawberries, melon,, etc i eat fruit all day long

Dinner is fried onions, mushrooms, peppers and whatever meat or fish OH is having last night it was gammon today will be pork fillet or steak

I cut all the fat off my meat

I have been adding liberal shakes of schwartz perfect shakes all varieties to my stir fries..believing them to be syn free could this be what is making me gain? I always use frylight but again spray lots of times..do i need to cut down?

    TIA ladies

    Hiya

DG coffee is the Dulce Gusto coffee pods and because they are dried milk they are 2.5 syns each. I use the skinny ones.

If you take anything in your coffee then it would have to be part of you HeA (milk) or synned - sugar, syrups, dried milk. Otherwise it's free.

    Hope that helps.:D
