    Morning all

Some sad news on here today :-(

I had my weigh in last night. 1.5lb off. I will admit to a teeny tiny flutter of disappointment - I had been losing so well but the logical part of my brain knows that I couldn't sustain such high losses. Slow and steady wins the race!

    Menu for today:

B - 35g Sultana bran with milk from HEX A allowance
L - Eating out with friends at a local Turkish resturant. Will be having a small chicken shish with rice and salad. Will probably have some of their amazing bread and dips but will keep it to a minimum. No idea of Syns.
D - SW paprika pork with rice and veg.

    Snacks - Fruit.

    Drinks - Tea, coffee, water.

It certainly does - 15 months of this to get to 6.7 stone basically. Just keep going - its a change of lifestyle for sure not a short term fix. I know exactly how you feel though I never thought I would get to where I am now.

Yum re the Turkish meal!! I have Chicken Tandoori and Salad with me for lunch today incidentally!

Thanks for that - it really helps to hear from someone who has lost a lot and has been successful.

I am definitely of the mindset that this is is a change for life - I am just impatient!

I tried a different yoghurt for my breakfast today and it was vile so I tried to sweeten it up with some honey - it was still yuk!

    B - Yoghurt with teaspoon honey & a banana
L - Chicken & tomato sandwich (hexB) with coleslaw and beetroot
D - Salmon baked with chilli sauce, baked sweet potato and coleslaw

    HexA - Milk
Snack - Two satsumas & one plain biscuit
Syns - 9.5 Honey, Biscuit, Mayo, Butter, Sweet Chilli Sauce

I may be tempted to have a couple of chocolates with my coffee later.

macpep~ Wow, the atmosphere must have been awesome.
Hope it was cheaper than the opening ceremony.

It was, we were at Glasgow Green, not at Hampden so £25 for a family of 4 was better than what they were asking at Hampden & still a fab atmosphere :T.

    Yet more sad news here.
One of my closest friends DH died suddenly at weekend.
    He was only 57.
She is just devastated, as I am for her.
The tears are running down my face as I type this.
I have hardly slept & what eating I have done has not been good.

So sorry for your loss, stay strong for yourself & put SW on the back burner in the meantime x

    Wiz - Well done! :T

I lost 1.5lb this week, so thats me just needing 1.5 off next week to get me back to what I was before going on hols, anything else is a bonus. Really sticking in this week, I stayed to class last night & it makes such a difference, we have a great group & there is always a bit of laughter & good banter:D.

B - Scrambled Egg, mushrooms, kiwi, peach, melon.
L - Sweet Chilli chicken, salad (1 syns for cous cous & 1 for dressing). Strawberries, melon, kiwi, peach, blackberries, shape 0% yoghurt apple crumbel (1/2 syn)
    D - Spicy mince, rice & veg

HEA & HEB - Ryvita with LCL & beetroot later on

Drinks so far 600ml water, 2 coffees & 1 green tea.

-0.5 please annie. I am really pleased with this as fully expected a gain after my marathon meal out on Sunday.:rotfl:

Just 2lbs to go now for target and two weeks to do it in, it should be very doable if I plan right.

    Hi everyone,

I've had a lovely day out with DD2, a mixture of food shopping and clothes shopping. Found some lovely shoes and........ I managed to fit into a size 12 skirt, it was a stretchy one but it fitted and whats more it was in the sale. There was another not so stretchy one which I managed to get on and could almost do the zip up, so looking very hopeful for next year. I'm going on a ballroom dancing weekend next April and there is always a fancy dress sort of evening. This year they have decided on a '50's theme. Our group of friends thought it would be fun to go as the Pink Lady's and T Birds. Those '50's dresses make you look even fatter so I'm really going to have to lose lots more by then.

Any way back to today's menu which is Green:

    B: Shreddies(B1) & ff greek yoghurt. Coffee with milk.(A1)
L: Ham & Cheese toasted wholemeal sandwich (B2 + 5 syns for cheese & 5 for ham). Skinny Latte (A2) (Treated ourselves to lunch out).
D: SW Egg, chips & mushy pea curry. Plum & Nectarine. Tea with Milk.

    S: Freddo (5 syns)

    Syn Bank: 0
    Weight loss 0/2st
    Inch loss = 0"

    Slow & Steady 3

    Afternoon all
Sorry to hear your sad news Beanie - it's a real stop in your tracks moment when that happens and makes you take stock of your life

Love the crusade lantana - I'm off to house sit soon for 2 weeks and I will be aiming for 3 dog walks a day, want to do something for my tummy, does anyone have any ideas?

Well done on the new stone bracket Wiz, isn't it great when that happens?

Well I'm off to weigh tonight, after my break in Brugge I'm probably going to gain but 7 months down the line and over 4 1/2 stone gone I am in the zone and have gone straight back on plan so any damage will be off quickly enough. My gym pact keeps me on the straight and narrow and I've been for 2 bike rides already this week!
Have a great evening everyone x
