  • Good Morning everyone :)

I'm new to this thread, I'm already getting some great ideas for my meal plans :) I'll start writing one now and go shopping during my lunch hour!

I used to do SW online and also went to a group about a year ago and I want to start again, I'm due to move house (From the NW to Midlands!) in the next month or so, and I'm hoping to join a group again once I've moved.

Thing is, I want to get started now (even though I'm going on holiday next week!) because I don't want to put it off any longer.

I'm going to have my first weigh in tomorrow :D so will post again tomorrow morning with my starting weight and also my menu for tomorrow.

A quick question though if anyone would be so kind as to answer....

I'm vegetarian. When I was on SW before I wasn't and I followed EE, should I stick to EE or should I just start on Green?

    Thanks everyone!

    Steff :)

Trying to lose as much of this 4lb as I can by Friday before I go on hols.

    B. a mini quiche, Alpen light, yogurt and a piece of fruit
    L. Quiche and beans plus a piece of fruit... Yog if I fancy it.
    T. Chicken with roast pots and salad
Pud...1/2 syn cake with strawberries and squirty cream and my other Alpen light.

Only 4 syns I think so may have a snack a jack or 2 if peckish later on

Welcome to the thread. As you are vegetarian I would definitely just do Green days as you can then have 1 or 2 HEAs and 2 HEBs. It seems pointless to me for a veggie to do EE.

When you go to your first meeting ask the Consultant to explain the Green plan thoroughly as you are vegetarian because they generally only go through the EE plan and say read up in the book if you want to try Green or Original (Red) days.

    Good luck.

    Thank you Denise

I was thinking EE may be pointless too so that's why I thought I'd ask

    Thanks again!

Is the 1/2 syn cake the same as the roulade I make which is made with eggs, quark, sweetner and baking powder? If so, you can make it syn free (which I do:T) by leaving out the baking powder - it makes no difference to the finished cake/roulade.

On a mission to declutter my bungalow as well as myself and booked a collection with the British Heart Foundation for this morning so was having a good old sort through. I came across an old shopping list and was amazed at the things on it that I don't buy now.

    Bread
    Butter
    Lard
    Full fat cheese
    Flour
    Sugar
    Margarine
    Whole milk
    Cake
    Biscuits
    Crisps
    Nuts
    Sweets
    Chocolate
    Double cream
    and
OMG two bags of pork scratchings
    tinned fruit in syrup
    Tins of rice pudding
    Tins of custard
    Nuts and rasins.

Like the new shopping list so much better :rotfl:

Yes it is. 1/2 syn between 4 portions isn't much anyway but that's good to know if I ever forget to put it in lol.

I'm in shock coz hubby tried sausage and bacon quiche....with a bag of crisps lol

crabapple, olderbutnotwiser, - congratulation on your loss

commiserations I love tea, and Annie on your gains. Fingers crossed for a good loss next week.

Frogga sorry to hear about the dentist. Dont know which is worse, needing 5 fillings or the cost:eek:

    Hi Steffi and welcome:)

meg how interesting to find the old list. Really makes you think about what you used to eat.

Had my first weigh in since moving my weighing weeks and lost 4lbs. So chuffed - long may it last. Now just to keep my head down and get another 6lbs off and I will be down to the next stone category.
