janie, that last few pounds is notoriously difficult. I'd suggest upping the veg even if you don't do full blown SE and keep plodding.:)

Denise, I'm envying your courgettes. Something odd has happened to our plants this year. We had lots of flowers that came to nothing.:( When I've done stuffed marrow I tend to cut in thick rings (remove middle) and microwave then put the cooked rings on a plate and spoon in the reheated Bolognese mixture. Much easier than stuffing and tying etc. but I am a very lazy cook.:o

MrsR, are you going to stick to SW now you're at target? Any plans?

Where are you off to today lush?;)
I'm a bit off cars at the moment. I had to be towed home on Saturday (waited 90 minutes for breakdown people), garage phoned this morning to say it's something electronic and it'll cost £735!

    Today's EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA milk
L: plenty of LOs to choose from, depends how hungry I feel
D: SW burger, SW chips, tomatoes, mushrooms, fried onions and peas
    Syns: HP sauce

Well I've had to wait in for a courier to come and collect a parcel (he's just been as I started to type this!) and I would usually have walked up to our town centre (1mile round walk) to visit the market as we need some fresh fruit and veggies but depending on what bf needs to get done I may just drive to one of the local supermarkets as the market isn't always reliable for quality, price or having the same stock available/what I want! It's kind of that or drive somewhere/around just for the sake of it today.

Also bil has he second retest starting right now so hoping he passes or I'll feel bad!

Food wise so far today has gone like this:

Breakfast: mullerlight yogurt (wasn't that hungry)
snack: chicken leg (no fat), few noodles from this fridge with a little soy sauce
lunch: not starving but maybe a HeB wholemeal roll with some sliced cooked chicken
    tea: salad or something similar

just seen we need ore squash...definitely feel a supermarket trip coming on ;) hehe

    Morning all
Thanks for all your kind words. I'm still a little dazed- trying to get to grips with my first full day as a target member! :)
Maman, yes I'm absolutely going to carry on with SW. I have a very hectic month coming up so I've got there just at the right time! Once my social life settles down a bit :D I might even adjust my target slightly and start attempting to lose again. I've been going to the gym 4 times a week- as well as doing a workout I've been going swimming and doing yoga which was recommended by my musculoskeletal consultant at the hospital so I'm going to carry on my fitness regime and I'm determined to carry on Food Optimising.
Off to the gym again today so here's my food plan:
B: HEXB Weetabix with Mullerlight and banana, apple, NAS cordial
L (after gym) plain mixed salad with plain Quorn pieces, pear, water
T: Tesco Healthy Living chicken in tomato and basil sauce (1 syn) Uncle Ben's golden veg rice (2.5 syns) steamed mixed veg. Tesco Everyday Value Orange Ice Lolly (1 syn) Frappucino with HEXA milk. NAS cordial
S: 2 Alpen Light bars (1 cherry Bakewell 1 Double Chocolate- 6 syns) might have a MugShot if I'm still hungry.
    Syns: 10.5
Body Magic: 80 mins in gym
Have a good day Everyone- it's nice to be back xx

Not posted over the weekend, but am pleased to report that I've stayed on plan and lost a staggering 5lb this week. I am slimmer of the week for the second week running, plus slimmer of the month, got my 1 stone award, bronze and silver Body Magic and I won the raffle!

Well done to you and Mrs Ryan on your medal haul!! :T

    My day went like this:

B - Yoghurt and mixed berries
L - Roast pork loin sandwich (Hex B) with loads beetroot & gherkins
D- Grilled skinny sausages, baked beans with LO cooked new potatoes dry fried in a minimal spray of oil
    HexA - Milk
    Snacks - Banana and Satsuma

Syns: 1 Yoghurt, 2 butter on sandwich and guessing 5 for sausages

Lunch was so lovely I've made the same again for tomorrow. :)

  • Well done Lush on passing your test, and very well done Mrs R on getting to target

I am having a weird couple of days. I get home in the evening and I just eat my way through the house. Its like I want to sabotage the good eating I've done during the day. Does anyone else do this?

Anyway these are the meals for today. I plan on only having a small kitkat tonight.

    B - Melon and grapes
    L- Ham salad
    D - Beef stir fry.

Snacks - small kitkat and carrots
  • Afternoon all

Well done to the losers and commiserations to those that have put on or STS. I still can't believe how much I can eat on this plan and lose weight!

    Menu today:

B - Blackberries, raspberries and a nectarine with FF yoghurt
L - A HUGE salad with ham and egg (plus around a tablespoon of Asda reduced fat salad cream)
D - Rib eye steak with SW chips, brocolli, peas and fine green beans

    Snacks - Fruit
Drinks - Tea, coffee, water (using HEXA)

    Syns - Around 2

I may have a Hi-fi bar this evening - that will be my HEXB

Thanks Maman - think I'll do them like that, sounds much easier than splitting lengthways, scooping out the seeds and then stuffing!

Had to have a rethink on food today! Couldn't have the planned bacon & mushroom sandwich as no bacon left, LOL! So ended up with scrambled eggs on toast instead, which of course should have been lunch!

Lunch will now be ham salad sandwich, which I decided on earlier when looking for the bacon! In fact, I'm getting a bit peckish so off to do my sandwich now.

Shell Belle - that really doesn't seem like a lot to eat in a day - you'd do better to up the amount you're eating during the day and then you won't feel the need to eat everything in sight when you get home from work. Might be worth chopping up some veggies and/or fruit and leaving them in the fridge to pick on during the evening so you don't just pick at all the wrong stuff.

Had my activia this morning and okish, slight discomfort but nothing to write home about. Just had some melon and oh boy instant discomfort, bloated and burning. So melon is off the menu, shame cos I love it :(.

Oh and mushy pea curry = results this morning :-)
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T
