Hi all
Weekend was okay but not great. I had a scone on Sunday but did do a walk in the Trossachs so hoping I burned some off on that. I also had a few glasses of wine on Saturday night.
However back on track today.
Breakfast: tesco breakfast bars (2.5 syns), DG coffee (2.5 syns)
Lunch: wholemeal roll (HeB) with ham and coleslaw (3.5 syns)
Dinner: roast chicken (no skin), Roast potatoes (2 syns for olive oil), tenderstem broccolli, carrots, baby corn, mangetout, runner beans, yorkshire pudding (2.5 syns), gravy (1.5 syns)
syns: 14.5
snack: banana and strawberries, cheese (HeA)0 -
Bean Goulash
Serves 4-6:
1 x 400g tin of red kidney beans
1 x 400g tin of baked beans (or borlotti, canneloni, etc)
1 onion
1 fat clove of garlic
4 tablespoons of oil
3 teaspoons paprika
1 x 400g tin of chopped tomatoes
1 teaspoon marmite or similar
1 vegetable or chicken stock cube
1 teaspoon sugar
First, drain and rinse the beans. Empty the kidney beans and baked beans into a colander, and blast under cold water to get rid of the tinned taste and the sauce from the baked beans. When well rinsed, set to one side.
Peel and chop the onion and peel and finely slice the garlic. Place in a frying pan with the oil anf paprika, and cook on a low heat until the onion is softened. Add the chopped tomatoes, marmite, crumbled stock cube, sugar and half a tin of water (using one of the bean tins as a guide), and stir well. Simmer gently for 15 minutes until the sauce is thick and glossy.
Tip in the colander of rinsed beans, stir to mix well and heat through for 10 minutes. Serve, devour, have seconds, and enjoy!
Just read this recipe on another thread. It's from a girl called Jack. Looks yummy and by substituting sweetener for sugar it'd be absolutely free. Might have same effect as bean soup!;)
This is a really good recipe, and yes it does have the same effect as the soup :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I only have this or the soup when I am not expecting company or planning to go out.Slimming World at target0 -

Congratulations lush - knew you would do it. Here's to many happy and safe miles
Just had before before I wander down to wi. Didn't fancy too much to eat so I have just had Ryvita Multigrain x 3, 45g feta, some really sweet cherry toms and 8 olives (1 syn) and one little meringue (Sainsbury's TTD 1 syn - this box is particularly delish atm)
Made a note of the bean goulash maman for future ref.
Thanks for sorting to chart out for us all Annie. I wouldn't know where to start with it.
Oh well better get a wriggle on.
Catch up with you all later.

I see some Coco Shreddies and various Weetabix with chocolate on the list. Maybe something to think about when all the Cocopops are eaten up.
There is a white bread (high fibre I believe) that's a HEB. Hopefully others can advise what it is and it's called.lushlifesaver wrote: »Kingsmill Great White is the white bread that can be used as a HeBIt's not too bad actually; bf and I quite like it and it makes a welcome change from wholemeal every so often too!
Today has been a good green day
