    Morning all,

I've found this weekend a real struggle. Not totally off plan but not totally on it either. My daughter moved house on Saturday so we were there all day. Quick toast with peanut butter then a ham salad sand which for lunch. Tea was left over curry, few new potatoes and half a naan bread.
Not too bad I know but I need to get back to being totally on plans last night ended up having three small treats out of my box. It's as if I begin to self sabotage when I get anywhere near feeling slim again. Does anyone else do this or is it just me?
Anyway scales showing a slight gain this morning so will just have to face the music tomorrow morning at weigh in.
I'm drawing a line, will be totally back on plan next week. I must must must get to goal or as near as I can for my holiday to Australia in November. I just need a big kick up the bum!
Started Self Managed DMP 10th May 2017.
Working hard to get rid of our debt.

    Morning everyone
Interested to read about almond breeze milk might give it a go, thanks OP
Well two milestones for me, yesterday bought a pair of size 16 shorts, considering I was size 24 in December, I am chuffed to bits.
Then this morning had a sneak peek on my scales and I've gone under the next stone, I'm now 14 st 13.2lbs and I was 19 12.5 lbs
    Soooo happy
But....I'm filling with a little dread as I'm off to Brugge on Wednesday for a few days and I know I'm going to gain. Should I just eat using moderation etc and have normal syns between now and then or use flexi syns and have no syns mon/tues and then none on Sunday/Monday on my return
    What have others done?

The good side of Belgian food is that mussels are free but sadly the chips and mayonnaise are not!:rotfl:

What I'd do is enjoy you break but be as low syn as possible before you go and when you get back. I've never really understood how people cope with flexisynning. The last thing I'd want to do on holiday is keep calculating how many syns I'd used. What really matters is that you resolve to get back on that wagon when you return.

durham, that's not a bad gain for a holiday should go soon.

Belated birthday wishes lush and fingers crossed for later.

Sorry to hear the black dog's still sniffing around lantanna, so hope you have some good news at WI.

Acc72, lush is spot on with the terms. SF is actually Superfree which is what SW call most (but not quite all) fruit and veg.

Good to see sary and FE dropping by. Be back soon!

I had really hoped you'd see a loss wiz. You can't be doing anything really bad as you aren't gaining but Oh for a decent loss.

    Back later with my menu.

    Thanks for your help.

I will look into Success Express.

I understand what you say, however weight loss has to stop at some point - a person cannot lose 1 lb per week forever.

What I meant was, if I want to lose a stone and my weight levels out after half a stone (even though I have more weight to lose), then this is where the Success Express and reducing syns comes in (after firstly ensuring that I am still following the plan correctly) ?

I am probably not explaining this very well, hopefully it makes sense !! .....

Yes, if your weight loss slows down or stops and you are following the plan correctly reducing syns/changing the plan or Success Express helps.

    Bean Goulash
    Serves 4-6:
1 x 400g tin of red kidney beans
1 x 400g tin of baked beans (or borlotti, canneloni, etc)
    1 onion
    1 fat clove of garlic
    4 tablespoons of oil
    3 teaspoons paprika
    1 x 400g tin of chopped tomatoes
    1 teaspoon marmite or similar
1 vegetable or chicken stock cube
    1 teaspoon sugar

First, drain and rinse the beans. Empty the kidney beans and baked beans into a colander, and blast under cold water to get rid of the tinned taste and the sauce from the baked beans. When well rinsed, set to one side.
Peel and chop the onion and peel and finely slice the garlic. Place in a frying pan with the oil anf paprika, and cook on a low heat until the onion is softened. Add the chopped tomatoes, marmite, crumbled stock cube, sugar and half a tin of water (using one of the bean tins as a guide), and stir well. Simmer gently for 15 minutes until the sauce is thick and glossy.
Tip in the colander of rinsed beans, stir to mix well and heat through for 10 minutes. Serve, devour, have seconds, and enjoy!

Just read this recipe on another thread. It's from a girl called Jack. Looks yummy and by substituting sweetener for sugar it'd be absolutely free. Might have same effect as bean soup!;)

Just made a stirfy with one of the YS packs of veg, was taken by surprise when it started to froth up, checked the pack and it contained a herby butter. I don't usually buy these packs and didn't know you
can get them with butter in. So more syns than I planned but it was very nice. As I didn't notice it when I tipped the bag in the pan it cant have been very big so I don't think theres too much damage.
