    Good morning all :)

Great nights sleep so I am feeling on top of it all this morning :) bf is off for physio and wonder bairrn and I are off to playgroup if I can find my change and loyalty card! Hoping to do some sewing this afternoon too if i can get bf and wonder bairn settled together (bf has hurt his back making somethings even harder for him especially baby tasks like playing/cuddling/feeding :( )

Bf's mum did my hair last night and my highlights look lovely but whilst i said 'less than half an inch off' shes taken at least three :/ so its much shorter than I wanted or expected at least it will grow back!

    Anyway; today...
Breakfast: toasted wholemeal roll, scrambled eggs, baked beans
lunch: lettuce, tomato, cucumber, boiled egg, beetroot and ham
tea: carvery (syns for yorkshire pudding, stuffing ball, cauliflower cheese) will not succumb to mil's wine efforts tonight i have resolved :)
    snack: kiwi, melon, satsuma,mullerlight

oh and I haven't tried mushy pea curry yet either, i keep meaning to but then forget all about it
here's to a (hopefully) good day!

Had a very productive afternoon yesterday used a YS 750g pack of minced beef and made 4 cottage pies, 4 spaghetti bol and 4 lasagne all in freezer. ready for a well prepared plan for next couple of weeks and guess what the microwave popped its clogs this morning..

I really could do without the expense this month but must replace it.

Last week it was my steam cleaner that broke and now this, I am now quite anxious as they say things go in threes, aww well as long as its not my neck I break will carry on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Consultant I really like mushy pea curry and stocked up on bargain 4p tins last year. I also like pea and ham soup and of course a good dollop with fish and chips

Consultant - I haven't tried the mushy pea curry yet (and I'm a target member and have been for over 3 years now!), my daughter uses it quite a lot but I just don't like the sound of it - peas and baked beans just don't go

Will post back later after WI.

I'm another that hasn't tried it either. Perhaps if you thought of it as beans with a tomato sauce it might feel better.

Snap! I got YS mince yesterday too! Nipped into Tesco because I'd run out of Shreddies (essential pre WI breakfast) and although they were expensive I made up for it with YS buys!:D

I've put mine in the freezer planning Bolognese and cottage pies when I've been shopping for veg. Do you use the SW cottage pie recipe or your own?

I'm planning to sit in the garden for a bit this afternoon but I also have an ironing mountain to climb.:(

WI this morning and I lost 2lbs. I should be pleased but I'm impatient to get back to pre-holiday weight. I'm now just 1lb over target weight but I like to be right at the bottom of the range. I could do with a bit more 'activity' too lantanna, so I'm going to try more water.

    Today's EE plan:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB Shreddies, HEA milk
    L: vegetable soup
D: liver, onions, mash, carrots, cabbage, peas
    Syns: gravy

    Hi all.

I have been using Foodily - I love the fact that I can upload any recipe from a site to one of my lists and it gives me the calories, sodium content etc per serving. I can also search for recipes that don't include certain items - great for red or green days. It would work well for calorie counting diets but I can also see it working for slimming world.

There is a also an app.

I was quite keen on the sound of mushy pea curry, until I read what was in it - honestly don't think I could either.

My day went a bit pear shaped at the end; I was late out of work and needed petrol and pretty desperate to get my shopping, so I had to think of something that would be on the plate double quick and plumped for brown bread roll with hot cooked chicken and coleslaw with beetroot and pickles. The roll not being the best choice I ever made, LOL but still not a total disaster.

Anyway other than the slip up with the rolls I got for dinner, the rest of my shopping was entirely per meal plan, mostly fruit and veg and all SW friendly. It certainly made my trip around the supermarket super fast and easy. :D

    B - Yoghurt & Berries + Banana
L - Sandwich (HEX B) with ham and gherkins
D - Chicken, coleslaw salad, made up with tiny little bit of light mayo and lemon juice, with added celery, some beetroot, pickled onions, gherkins and a brown bread roll.
    S - Apple, Satsuma

    HEXA - Milk in drinks
Syns: Guessed 10 for roll, 3 for butter and 1 for Mayo
    Mortgage
    Start January 2017: $268,012
    Latest balance $266,734
    Reduction: $1,278.45

You could try my Peas & Onions curry which I love.

Chop up an onion. Using frylite, fry the onion in pan until it is soft. Add 1 tsp of turmeric and a pinch of chilli powder (or more if you like it spicy), mix this into a paste. Add one tin of marrowfat peas. Cook until peas are soft and can be roughly mashed with a spoon or something. Keep cooking until mixture thickens and resembles mushy peas.

    EE Menu today:

B: Crunchy bran, cherries, banana & ff yoghurt. Coffee with milk.
L: Noodles, carrot sticks & salad. Peach. Tea with milk.
D: Mince (5 syns)& onions, mashed potato(2syns for butter), broccoli, sprouts & peas. Tea with milk. Apple

    S: Tea with milk.
Syn bank: 8 Syns (had a Magnum champagne lolly yesterday so used up yesterdays allowance).

I too have a ironing mountain to climb sometime today.

Snacks - Apricots, Doughnut peaches, sliced carrots

    HEA - Not sure yet

    other syns so far

1 x hifi Rocky road ( they are so morish) 3 Syns

    Hope this is ok.:)

    Afternoon :j

I had a small square, 3in by 2in, of pizza with no crust and mushrooms on an extremely thin crust. I'm calling it 7 syns as I have no frame of reference and it was about half a normal slice with no crust and I've had no HEXA. Sound reasonable?

B - Bacon, poached egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans

D - Small square of pizza, ham and boiled egg salad.

T - Mushy pea curry on a baked potato, strawberries and grapes and a peach.

    HEXA - cheese on pizza
HEXB - ryvita minis or benefit bar later

SYNS - 7 pizza, 1 four dominion sweets, maybe 3 for an options with a splash of milk.

    Banking 2 - 5 to make 30 for tomorrow plus tomorrow's allowance.

    I LOVE mushy pea curry.

I make it with 2 tins of tomatoes, 1 tin baked beans, 1 tin mushy peas and a huge tablespoon of asda hot curry powder.

This batch had a packet of a5da cod fillets cooked in the oven and peppers, onions and mushrooms frylighted separately added and has been delicious. Big fan of chicken and vegetables in it too.

It works like speed soup and is much tastier IMO.

I got six portions out of it but I bulked it a bit with passata and an extra tbsp of powder as it was a bit thick.
