Just a quickie to post my menu for today.

    Green day:

    B - 2 chocolate Weetabix (HEB1 + 3.5 syns??), raspberries, blueberries, unsweetened almond milk (part HEA1)
L - loaded potato skins (no HEA in them today) & salad
D - 2 soft boiled eggs on (HEB2) toast with beans & grated cheese (HEA2)

Will have a bowl of lentil & veg soup as well if I manage to make it today (assuming I find the pesky lentils in Tesc0). Also some Victoria plums & a clementine.

I didn't have the mushy pea curry with my dinner last night, I really couldn't face it & threw it in the bin :o Had plain mushy peas instead.

Hope everyone has a good day today.

I had the strangest of leftovers last night: left over wine from Sunday! ;) Technically was in my allowed syns for the week but probably could have done without them as others have crept in.

    My EE menu for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB porage, HEA milk
L: ham, pork, bubble& squeak, tomato
    D: SW Spaghetti Bolognese
Syns: squirt of syrup, tsp of sweet pickle, little parmesan

I'm very bad at measuring milk. Most days I think I'm well within my HEA (always have been when I measured at start of doing SW as I like my tea quite strong). If I have cereal or porage I'm definitely over but that's not something I have often. I know you're not supposed to carry over HEXs but I decided long ago that if I had trouble getting to target then being stricter measuring HEXs was a way of tightening up. Fortunately for me it never happened.:)

Shala, I'm not going to join the challenge as my aim is just to keep pulling myself to bottom end of target range when I've been off plan. I know I have a week's holiday next month so I'll definitely be working hard after that. I will keep posting my ups and downs though if that's OK with everyone.

Bought me some electronic scales, they are already making life easier!!

I solved today's milk issue by having half an HEA of cheese with lunch (wholemeal roll with light philly and tomato plus a load of crudite type veg) and I could actually measure 37.5g! (Okay, I had 38 but I couldn't put any b ack).

So now I've got another half allowance of milk to keep me in coffees for the rest of the day! Will also get lots of water in me.

I've written down every last thing I've eaten, and actually need to work some syns in somewhere (used 3.5 on vimto so far). Might treat myself to a tiny scrape of butter on my casserole for dinner.

My baby is weaning onto some solids, so I've got to drop some of my HEX foods *sobs* but I've still got 5 a day on Green.

Now I'm going to go help my toddler and count getting her down repeatedly from the same place where apparently she is 'stuck', and finding all the tops from her pens as BM :rotfl:

    Welcome nicegirl :hello:

Why cant you WI in today or are you going to classes not doing it at home ?

I'm doing it at home. When I did SW in the past my weigh day was Friday morning and I've just got used to it. If I'm honest, part of it is knowing that when I've had an, ahem, busy weekend of socialising I have five days to really focus at getting back on plan. I know that's probably the wrong attitude but I do find it keeps me focussed when I have slipped up!

My aunt goes to a SW class and has been a member for a long time, so we have decided that she is going to be my online consultant if I get stuck! :)

I would like to do the challenge please? I'll say 10lbs, aim high!

    Food for me today:

    HEA - milk in drinks

B - Porridge (HEB) with fat free yogurt, frozen raspberries
L - SW quiche (well more of a frittata) salad, beetroot
D - Chicken stirfry with egg noodles and Thai curry Paste (4 syns for curry paste and olive oil)

Snacks - Fruit, Aldi fat free yogurt

I think I'm going to stop having milk as a HEA. I don't have that many milky drinks so I think I'll get more for my HEA with cheese and then syn the milk I do have.

    Well done Annie021063 that's amazing!!

    Question.

I was planning a Green Day so have had 2 HEX B (3 brazil nuts, fruit and fibre, 1 x alpen light) however we have now decided to go to Nandos for tea. Can I switch to an Extra Easy day and syn the brazil nuts and alpen light instead?

    Thanks xx

Yes you can. That's no problem at all.

I understand what you mean about weighing in before the weekend nicegirl. I weigh in at a Thursday group. That gives me Monday to Wednesday to play catch up after the weekend. Four days is even better! I think I'd be weighing in at 5.55pm. on Friday before I start on the weekend wine syns!;)

I was in Sainsbury's today getting bits for tomorrow's picnic. I noticed that Uncle Ben's microwaveable rice was on offer at £1. Frylight is still £1.50. I got a YS Lamb Rogan Josh which is less than 4 syns (shared) and, of course, the 1 syn sausages.

Picnic will be a mixture of healthy/on plan (leaves, couscous, tomatoes etc) and foods that fall into 'you really don't want to know' category. To be fair my friend did ask 'will it be OK for your 'diet'?' which I thought was sweet of her. I said I'll have a day off. Line will be drawn and start again on Friday.
