    Simples.

Fry an onion and garlic glove in frylight, either add an actual chilli pepper (or half), or dried chilli flakes, add tin tomatoes or two or passata if you want smooth, simmer for 15-20mins. Add a bit of tomato puree to thicken if needs be. Syn free. I sometimes add a teaspoon of sugar if it tastes too bitter but that needs to be synned.

    Ooohh,that is brilliant-thank you

    -4lbs tonight at weigh in
    Which means........ (Drum roll)
5 stone 1/2 gone for good
    Couldn't be happier tonight:j:j

That's awesome Annie, many congratulations :T
OMG! lost 1.5lbs this week (undeserved really yesterday was a day off)
Slimmer of the week and Month:j

    Lots of shines! Well done.

Meg, hugs for your gain. It can't hurt to post your menu, just writing it down will help you keep on track.

Tonight the WI gods must have been smiling on me, because somehow I scored a 1lb loss. I was amazed to be honest, but rather than treat it as a case of I went off plan and ate too much rubbish but still lost, I need to think that I could have had a lovely loss if I had been on plan :o

So definitely still back to basics for me this coming week. The casserole was lovely and should do at least 2 more meals so that's free food and tons of veg sorted for a couple more days.

Can I just ask if anyone has a good set of kitchen scales that don't cost much? Is it worth getting some electronic ones because I'm struggling to get 20 or 30g of something on my dial scales that only mark every 25g. Don't even get me started on the intricacies of trying to get to 35g of cereal!

Awwh thanks for the hugs, re the kitchen scales, I gave up on mine and now use a digital postal scale, they were quite cheap on ebay less than £10,and much more accurate.

Sorry to hear about the problems but you've done remarkably well to stay fairly low syn all the same. Well done!:T
Thanks to all who helped with suggestions for me for this week for starting my new job.

Thanks also to all those who helped re frittata, I made on on Sunday for a picnic and it was yum.

So glad your first day went OK. Great news about the cheap JPs in the canteen. That'll see you through easily until you can get settled in and sorted with a few new ideas.

So glad you enjoyed the frittata. I bet there's none left!!

Sounds like you've had a brilliant day wiz.:)

Thanks for the couscous advice. Amazingly some of the Aldi ones are really low syn (like half!). I'll go shopping tomorrow and sort something.
