Got off to a great start with an hour's walk with the dog. Going to do the usual cycle commute to work and have a shiny new SW menu planned!

    B - Fruit and yoghurt
L - Honey roasted salmon flakes with salad
D - Waitrose tender extra lean sausages (2) with beans, poached egg and something else, maybe wedges

    Syns - sausages (3), yoghurt (0.5), salad cream (2.5). Total 6

Well done losers & award winners :T Commiserations for any STS & gainers ~ keep plodding.

Green day (just for a change :p)

B - branflakes (HEB1), raspberries, blueberries, greek yoghurt (3.5 syns)
L - HM lentil & veg soup (if I can find the lentils in Ald1), loaded potato skins (HEA1 cheese) & salad
D - rosemary & red onion sausages, new potatoes, mushy pea curry (the last of the batch I made last week, don't think I'll be making it again), pitta (HEB2)

I do occasionally eat more fruit during the day ~ I had 2 Victoria plums yesterday  & a clementine & will probably have the same today.

    Have a good day.

Wow, another WOTY, a couple of SOTM and some great losses. Well done :j

Dreading WI tonight. Cannot seem to stop myself weighing at home but I know my scales are a bit off compared to those at group - all indications are I'll be lucky with a maintain. If it's really bad I may weigh and run!

Things have got too slack and I need to get back strictly onto plan to get my losses going forward, so a shop for loads of veg today, free casserole for tea and a load of planning for the next week with plenty of free and superfree food, about 10 syns and making sure I weigh and measure everything.

Not even half way to the weight I need to lose, so I don't want to fail now!

    Morning.. great losses again!!

BEG - as Denise said you don't have to put water in, although i popped a tiny bit (half a cup) in just to keep the moisture in.. the meat usually releases some juices of it's own anyway so no need for any liquid really.

    :T:jMildredd - well done on WOTY:j:T

Maisie - thanks for the good night sleep vibes.. OH slept in the spare room last night so i could get a better night sleep :D

Weighed this morning and its shocking after my weekend antics so nothing that shouldn't be passing my lips today will be consumed!!

    EE day for me

    B - banana, ff yogurt
L - couscous, chicken, almonds (heb) sweet chilli sauce (2) salad
    T - cottage pie, carrots, gravy (2)
S - crisps (5) orange, milk in tea (0.5 hea)

Not sure how many almonds i can have for a HEB - anyone know? I've got 10 in my lunch... yes i did count them :D
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

  • I lost 2lb this week, bit disappointed as I just needed 1lb more to break the first stone barrier but I also got Slimmer of the Month which is great! :j

I'm going back to basics from tomorrow, really need to get back onto plan. Very quiet at group today. Most people weighed and left, only 5 of us stayed.

2lb is a great loss Rosie so dont be too disappointed. Bet you will break that stone mark next week - watch this space ;) Well done on SOTM too. :T

Thanks for that Shala. Looking forward to trying Pulled Pork recipe. Just on the look out now for some lean pork. I think shoulder is usually quite fatty.

You're allowed 20 almonds shelled and whole btw as hexb on EE. ;)

I haven't posted as have had a few rubbish days diet wise. Yesterday we went out for lunch and the cafe had either sandwiches or chips or cake. I don't eat wheat so had to have chips. They weren't even good chips.

I forgot breakfast again. Then I had gluten free cake my neighbour made especially for me. It would have been rude to refuse, and she is doing SW too.
Last night I tried to redeem myself with beef stew loaded with vegetables, ratatouille and mashed potato. 2 tiny glasses of wine too. I Know HEs were missing too.

Today is a new day and a new start :)

Bit of a quandary here, I stopped buying breaded or battered stuff ages ago but a local meat warehouse has breaded turkey steaks on offer 20 for £2,00. I am wondering if you can wash the coating off, has anyone done this?

Meg - I would just cook them as they are and then remove the crumb coating and just eat the turkey so it would be Free. Don't think I'd want to try washing the coating off! If you don't want to cook it with the coating on could you just scrape it off before cooking?

I can't see that removing the breadcrumbs is any differen to removing the batter on a bit of chippy fish!

    That's certainly a good price.

I'm off on holiday at the end of the week but it seems I'm already in holiday mode! I'd used a full week's syns by Saturday night:eek:.

Not sure if I'm going to weigh this week. Might just go on holiday and then see how much I've put on over the 4 week period - hopefully won't be too much and I can shift it again. I usually only put on a couple of pounds during my 3 week holiday but think it might be more this year if I can't rein it back in between now and going away!

    Having a Green day today:

B - scrambled eggs on toast (HEB)
L - jacket potato with LO mince & veg (HEB) (it's more veg than meat:rotfl:)
D - mixed bean goulash and rice

    HEA will be SS milk.

Have still got loads of fruit so will snack on that during the day.

Not sure what syns I'll have but probably a fruit split lolly this evening - 3. Will try not to have anything else for a bit of damage limitation.

    Denise
