Greentiger took me ages to work out what was wrong with your menu so I would have quite happily have eaten it too:rotfl:

Pennylane - hello and welcome to the thread

    Saver-upper congratulations on your loss.

DH decided to let me have a lie in this morning which was very kind of him but not the best of ideas when I have two kids and myself to get out to school and work:eek:. Needless to say no breakfast from me and a quick flung together lunch. Mind you I managed to stay fairly well on track.

Breakfast - DG coffee (2.5 syns)
Snack - belvita biscuits (3 syns)
lunch: uncle ben's special golden rice (2.5 syns), banana, mullerlight yoghurt
snack - sour cream and chive snack a jacks (4.5 syns)
dinner - fish (salmon and cod), carrots, peas, sweetcorn, potatoes, (milk -hea)
    snack - 2 x alpen lights

    syns: 12.5 syns
  • Thank you Maisie :)

I lost 2lb this week, bit disappointed as I just needed 1lb more to break the first stone barrier but I also got Slimmer of the Month which is great! :j

I'm going back to basics from tomorrow, really need to get back onto plan. Very quiet at group today. Most people weighed and left, only 5 of us stayed.

    Tomorrow:

    B: fruit, water
L: jacket potato with baked beans, cheese (HEA) and salad.
D: pasta with tomatoes, peppers, sweetcorn, carrots and peas, salad.
    Drinks: water, Pepsi Max.
Snacks: carrot sticks, fruit, nuts (HEB)

Need to shift some weight again but can't get motivated.:(

The thought of having to plan everything is already getting me down.
I could be very good eating lean meat, loads of veg, fruit, fish, eggs etc and cooking SW recipes but Sunday tea times I could never think what to have. We gave up bread about 2 years ago so a sandwich is out.

Aww,bless you,Pennylane.I know what it is like to be lacking motivation.Due to personal circumstances I stopped going to group about 2-3 months ago.In that time I gained close to 13lb.For about the last month of that, everyday I would say to my OH "I am going to start back at SW next week....I need to go back to SW next week....next week is the week......".On and on it went.Just couldn't get motivated, especially in the middle of holidays, with 4 children at home.
Last week I just bit the bullet, and got on with it.And I am not a great meal planner (I keep telling myself I am going to,but I notice other posters here telling us what they will be having tomorrow, while I am re-capping what I did today.)
Would it make it easier for you if you started to cook up spare meals to freeze. An assortment of soups, stews, chillis, etc. Then you will always have a couple of different things to choose from. And you don't have to decide what meal you will have on what day-you can decide on the day.
And don't forget to have your syns-they are not a "reward" for being good-they are an integral part of the program. When I was approaching Target weight (2 years ago),my weight was stuck on 1.5lb above target. For 4 weeks it did not shift at all (it was very unlike me-if I was on plan,I usually had a steady loss). It was pointed out by someone at group that it didn't sound like I was eating enough syns.Sure enough, the following week I ate my syns allowance-which I think, subconciously,I had been trying to minimise-and loss 2.5lb,taking me to 1.5 under what I was aiming for.
    Good luck!

Good loss there rosie, although you were hoping for 3!

Looking at your menu I noticed you aren't planning any meat. So you could call it a Green day and then have an extra HEA and B if you wanted.:)

Four large glasses of wine :o

    36 syns?

To be fair, I'd banked a few.

I really wanted a pizza after but came home and had Heinz ravioli with four syns of grated cheese on for a total of 6.5 instead.

Quite pleased with that, especially as we lost, that's usually a triple figure day...

Thank you for the advice about syns - I think I've been doing the same this week. For the first two weeks, I'd been having around 12-15 per day then I decided to cut it down to 3-6 and even zero on some days. Weight loss has been slower. I'll have to up the syns again so hopefully it'll make a difference!

Thank you! I've just about managed to get my head round EE and would never have thought of doing that. :)

My menu is very boring but I'm not feeling my best so it's all quick and easy.
