Afternoon
I haven't been too good on Friday, got together with cousins and decided to order burgers. I thought I'd be ok with a grilled chicken one, with no mayo or chips... Only I wasn'tthe chicken was really greasy, salad was barely there and I didn't enjoy it one bit. To think I used to love them! Back to homemade food for me
Came home after the burger incident and helped myself to a toffee crisp.
Kept syns to a minimum over the weekend.
Catching up on this thread has given me some motivation - thank you!
WI tonight - feeling nervous but onwards and upwards from now.
Here's the line that needed to be drawn:

2. Spray a large frying pan with Fry Light and stir fry the onion and garlic for 2-3 mins.
3. Add the chilli powder and the beef and stir fry for 5-6 mins. Next add the peppers, mushrooms and tomatoes. Bring to the boil, season well, cover tightly and cook over a low heat for 20-25 mins. Add the beans and stir to mix well then return to the heat for a further 10 mins.
4. Serve with rice and a twist of lime for extra va va voom!

Now for my menu today. Hmmm. I made a mix up in what I was using when I planned this - yes, it was planned - and I didn't even notice until I was cooking dinner!
Breakfast: 1 x wee slice hexb toast, jam (1 syn), banana
Lunch: baked potato stuffed with leeks, mushrooms and hexa cheese, red cabbage
Dinner: macaroni cheese with spring onion, beetroot, 1 wee hexb toast with scrape of butter (3 syns), ML banana & custard yogurt with sliced banana
Snack: choc dig (3 syns)
Thought I'd done well, sharing my toast out. If it had dawned on me, I could have omitted the cheese at lunchtime. As it is, I'll now be way over today's allowance
Oh well, There's always tomorrow.Sewing 88/COLOR]Woollies 19Card s 91Reading 37/400 -
You don't need liquid to use a SC - joints are lovely done in them. I usually put screwed up balls of foil in the bottom and stand the meat on them then any fat drips to the bottom.
Denise
Thanks denise. I was just a bit confused as in the instruction booklet it said that a third of the meat had to be covered with liquid. :undecided I still have my 'L plates' on as far as the SC is concerned.Woman of the year

Congratulations Mildred on WOTY and your 2lbs loss.:TLioness_Twinkletoes wrote: »Soggy afternoon here. Have done a load more housework - deep cleaning the living room today. House is looking pretty shiny now.
Weighed this morning -2lb. Pleased with that - especially considering I had -4lb last week AND a sticky toffee pudding!
Menu today:
Brunch - Strawberry granola again. I really love this, it's definitely my go-to weekend breakfast
Dinner - Pot roasted beef with veg and my new SW recipe spuds.
I've made some SW muffins (ham, leek and cheese) and a lemon drizzle cake so not counting Syns today :rotfl:
Oooohhhh sticky toffee pudding - nom nom - drool drool
Great loss twinkletoes. :T
Decided to give the Speed Soup a go tomorrow afternoon as I am going to be carless (MOT ). Checked the cupboard to see what I needed and the only things I needed were a tin of mixed beans and a tin of green lentils. Trotted off to Aldi - no mixed beans and no lentils. Same result at Lidl so will have to go to Asda first thing in the morning. I know there are a lot of Aldi/Lidl converts around but I am not convinced I could do my main shopping there every week. I do use Lidl on a weekend for certain things however. Sorry rant over as I really should be going to bathroom to squeeze the last few drops out before I am off to wi.

Need to shift some weight again but can't get motivated.:(
The thought of having to plan everything is already getting me down.
I could be very good eating lean meat, loads of veg, fruit, fish, eggs etc and cooking SW recipes but Sunday tea times I could never think what to have. We gave up bread about 2 years ago so a sandwich is out.0 -

Had WI tonight,with a
2.5lb loss :j
Really pleased with that.I really only knuckled down last Wednesday,I think it was,but once all the "rubbish" was out of the house,it was very easy to get my focus back again.
Menu today:
Brekky:scrambled egg,bacon,baked beans,tinned potato,an apple
Lunch:banana
Tea: jacket potato with little am't of cheese, bacon, egg and full fat mayonnaise, sweet chilli sauce
Syns in mayo and a couple in chilli sauce as well I think.
Tonight I will have Alpen bars for Hex B
What low-syn/(maybe free?) mayonnaise does everyone use?I have tried one before but went back to full-fat.But if anyone can suggest a nice one I would be willing to try, thank you.
At meeting tonight we were having a "nibbles evening".I took along SW Farrero Rochers (weetabix and Nutella),which were very popular (probably cos they were the only chocolate item on the table :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
