Any tips for quashing bread cravings please?
I know you said you were trying to cut down on bread, but 2 small pieces a day (if you have them every day) as your HEB isn't too bad, is it?? I haven't had bread cravings as such, although the smell of a baguette my DD was eating the other day made my nose twitch a bit!! I tend to have wholemeal pittas as my HEB.'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -
Hello all.
Top Girl, I'm going to pinch the Frylight tip, very MSE, thanks.
Well, there's a Scots saying, "The best laid plans of mice & men gang aft agley." And it applies to me today
I planned
* a nice leisurely breakfast of porridge and a banana
* nail appointment
* hair appointment
* a late lunch of HM tomato soup, Shape yogurt & kiwi
* dinner of sausage, mash, onion gravy & beans
* a relaxing evening
Syns: 0
So what did I get?
* an early phone call offering me a cancellation appointment with doctor
* a phone call asking me to collect grandson from school in town A at 3.00 as daughter had been offered some overtime
* breakfast - what breakfast?
* a drive west to doctor in town A
* visit to baker to pick up roll (brown) with egg mayo and tomato to keep the wolf from the door
* a drive back in the opposite direction for nail and hair appointments in town B, passing close to home village on the way
* lunch - what lunch?
* drive back in opposite direction to collect DGS in town A, passing close to home village on the way
* take DGS home to his own house and give him his tea so he's ready to go out to football training
* eat slice of white toast and olive spread to fend off rumbling tum
* drive home
* DH offers to make dinner:) I accept
* dinner: egg (fried in olive oil), sausages, beans & tomato - "It was too much bother/too late to make mash.", white toast & butter -"I found the bread was mouldy at lunchtime, so I just bought a wee white loaf for a change." "And I got you a cake for a treat, because you've been running about all day."
Syns: eeek!
The result of all this is I am still hungry, I feel miserable because I missed out on the sausage and mash, I didn't particularly enjoy the cake and I feel diddled.
Tomorrow won't be much better. And I'd planned not to be watching what I'm eating as I'm going to Edinburgh with DD for girls' day out, including lunch then football. We'd planned a takeaway tea too, as my DH is bowling all day and her DH and DS are going to his parents for the day.
Oh well, I'll get a big line ready.
Hope you all do better than me. (Wouldn't be hard, right enough!)

ETA sorry for moan,
Phew I am exhausted just reading about your day, shame about the syns and your sausage and mash and a cake, but bless he tried didn't he, and how lovely of him to think you deserved a treat because you`d been running round all day. My Ex husband once greated me after a particularly tough 24 hr shift (residential
childcare) with "whats for Dinner" I told him whatever you can ***** find" and I went to the chippy for me and the kids.Slimming World at target0 -

Oh bless you are not mean at all, I have stopped buying frylight
in favour of using up the years supply of crisp and dry that I have in, mind you I think I am finding that just a couple of sprays instead of the glugs I used to pour means that this particular stash is going to outlive me.Slimming World at target0 -

I have been back in the zone today :j.
Until I went shopping this afternoon,there wasn't alot of breakfast food in the house,so it was simply an apple for breakfast,with cup of tea
Very late lunch(about4pm!) was leftover carrot soup,followed by grapes and watermelon
Tea was HM vegetable curry:carrot,green beans,potato,cauliflower,onion,cooked in vegetable stock with Tesco indian style curry blend .
Drinks are tea with dairy allowance
About to have another cuppa with 2 Alpen bars.
Now I have lots of "interesting" fruits in the house (watermelon,peaches,honeydew melon,grapes,strawberries),I am going to up my intake of those over the next couple of days.
I have only just started shopping in Aldi in the last few weeks,but one thing I miss being able to buy are Muller light yoghurts.Might have to drop into Tesco especially over the next few days,and check out the syns of Aldi yoghurt.SPC #36 :staradminx 8.SPC7=£751.10 SPC8=£651.04 SPC9=£843.00 SPC10=£872.76
