There are some flavoured beans that are free- Heinz BBQ and Fiery Chilli beanz are free, as are the garlic and herb flavour. I love the Taco beans from Tesco- mixed beans in a slightly spicy tomato sauce. gorgeous tasting and free- I always eat a tin on a Sunday night as I find they give my loss a boost :)

Fairly sure long as u stab them with a pin they don't explode?
Seem to remember buying someone a gadget set to make boiled eggs in the microwave and it was basically a pin
Going to google now though before I get hit with bills for new microwaves

I have boiled eggs in a kettle years ago though ;)

Haha! Thanks. It's because of my dyscalculia I can't judge correct timings for things- that's why they explode.

So far so good, that was until oops I ate a small handful of nuts but I have no idea how to count them ....so I won't.

    B. Yoghurt & Berries
    L. Sandwich (HexB) Ham and Philly Light + Bowl of Salad & Coleslaw
    D. Chilli and Potato 'Skins' with a little sprinkle of grated cheese - cos you lot made me do it. I just quartered the potatoes after microwaving them and didn't bother to scoop out any flesh. Put them on a tray with a little spray of oil and crisped them up in the oven for a bit.
    Snack: Banana
Syns Approx: 12.5 for mayo in coleslaw and two Freddo biscuits, Philly and cheese and another 6,7,or 8 for nuts.
    Mortgage
    Start January 2017: $268,012
    Latest balance $266,734
    Reduction: $1,278.45

Which noodles do you use mim? Are they free? I got a couple of packets of YS beansprouts when I was in Asda getting fuel yesterday so would like stir-fry as a lunch option.

    My EE plan for today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, HEA milk for teas, 2 fried eggs
L: probably HM vegetable soup (last portion in freezer)
D: Lamb Hot Pot (carrots, onions, leeks, celery) with cauli and broccoli
    Syns: squirt of HP sauce

I'm going to adapt the SW recipe for hot pot with extra veg and may/may not use the gravy granules it recommends. I'm using up some stray lamb chops from the freezer. I won't remove all the fat before cooking but I won't eat it either. So some extra syns in there.

Strangely enough the recipes cut and paste easily from the website. I'm sure consultant's right about SW and copyright but I think there are just issues with the site too. The way it searches for syn values always seems a bit random.

Not seen lush for a few days. Maybe she's driven off to her seaside holiday home!;)

As we'll probably all be buying new microwaves soon.;) Do most of you have fancy ones that Have ovens/grills? Mine's just a basic heater up/defroster.

denise, I understand how it can be difficult to use syns when unplanned. My menus are all arranged with syns at weekends so if I don't have them then I really need to think about it.

Glad you enjoyed your weekend topgirl, but will be much easier to stay in control when topboy's back.
