Now I feel I should keep at it and post on here more for support. I have batch cooked so I have suitable meals if I have another time when I can't cook. Mr P and DS2 are great cooks but won't cook what I want and are extremely generous with their portions.
I got to my heaviest two months ago and have lost 9lbs since then but have started to stray again this weekend.
Oh bless pooh of course you are welcome back, I really think this is the nicest, friendliest thread on the boardsSlimming World at target0 -

Thanks for the suggestions meg but not really suitable I'm afraid
I know the seafood pack you mean- it's an occasional treat for me as 1) my local Morrisons is very hard to access 2) it seems they actually no longer stock it and 3) it's too expensive to have more often than an occasional treat
I no longer eat ham as the cheap stuff started to upset my tummy and can't afford the dearer stuff
I've tried plain Quorn pieces on a salad (disgusting ) I have thought of hard boiled eggs but last time I tried to make them I nearly blew up the microwaveI've had the occasional pasta salad as well but I always seem to come back to bananas!

:hello: Another returner here!
I have dipped in and out of this thread (and previous) however I have never managed to fully embrace the SW experience. Now however I have exhausted every other reasonable eating approach with no success so I am back and determined to shift the weight.
Recently I have decided to become vegetarian so now seems like a good time to completely overhaul my diet. My meals are reasonably healthy however my downfall is sugar, I love all sweet things

Hello All
I'm new this forum and Slimming World on my second week lost 2 pounds in my first week. I am hoping being part of this forum can help me stick to this as have struggled in the past and really want to stick to it now as I want to lost weight before I start a family with my new husband. I am really enjoying the freedom of slimming world however I am really struggling with tracking and planning my meals.I have planned before for budgeting purposes but how found 75% of the time I have found that if I planned to have something on that day when I get to it I don't fancy it and then are tempted to have something that I shouldn't have. Writing down what I eat is something i just cant seem to keep up If I forget one meal it all seems to go to pot.
Hope I haven't rambled too muchSlimming world Journey 2 stone 9.5lb loss:T0 -
I think it varies re bananas, my consultant says it's a load of rubbish that they affect your weight loss as she ate three or four a day when she was on her journey and they didn't affect her in the slightest! I eat a lot of them as I do a cardio heavy workout in the gym and I have them for protein when I've done my workout. Hasn't really affected me either.
I think the issue with bananas (and grapes) is that while they are SF they're not Speedy or Super Speedy so they're fine as part of your third SF but other fruits give you that added 'boost' to weightloss. Personally I prefer to have veg and they're not S or SS. So it's just what works for you I suppose!!:hello: Another returner here!

Good to have you along rummer. I don't have a sweet tooth myself but I'm sure others will have suggestions.slimwriter wrote: »Random question - are all Brands of baked beans free?
As far as I know yes.
I've had a good day on plan. I think I was OK with SFs. Dinner had loads (onions, carrots, celery, mushrooms, cauli and broccoli) and I didn't eat much else today, just a coffee when out and shoved a slice of ham in my mouth when cooking dinner.
Taking DD1 to Heathrow tomorrow so may upset the meal plan but I'll do my best.
056dillonl1381, you're right that planning is the answer. I make a weekly meal plan for suppers and chop and change to suit what I'm doing. For lunch and breakfast I just have a load of choices (soup, beans, eggs, ham, cereal, LOs!!) that I pick from daily. I think it helps if you have a few HM ready meals in the freezer in case you get pushed for time and try not to buy in anything that's not SW friendly.0 -
Hello all, :hello: to new people and returners!
Mrsryan - could you take a yogurt for after your workouts? That has 4 times more protein than a banana, and is pretty portable.
Well I'm drawing my line tonightafter the wedding buffet and maybe a takeaway (so not worth it btw) I need to get my *rse into gear.
In the morning I shall get up have a healthy breakfast, and then sort the cupboards ready for some healthy meal planning and cooking.:j
If I get time I'll try making the lemon curd :j I imagine mine will turn out like lemony scrambled egg though as I have a tendency to get distracted easily :rotfl:
Will post my menu tomorrow when I've done my master planMortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0
