Bananas are super free but aren't a speed?
Funny how we all get told different?
I can't eat bananas because it makes me giggle and then stops the toilet flowage ;)

Still haven't lost the last holidays gain
Ill be back on it tomorrow (or maybe Tuesday ;'))

Hoping the body magic might have helped reduce this holidays gain though
Quite proud of my self that I managed to do stuff I couldn't do 10 years ago without stopping to catch my breath ;)
It's the small things for me it really is

Eep mini me starts preschool in a couple of weeks :/ should probably sort out her wardrobe :/ and then buy myself some gym clothes and shoes for joining the gym while she's educated ill be toning and firming up ;)

  • Hi Everyone

I hope you don't mind me joining your inspirational thread!

I have been doing ww for a while but haven't lost any weight (I've lost a bit, gained a bit etc!).

The one time I managed to actually reach my target was with SW about 5 years ago. Since then I have gained around a stone which I would love to be able to lose by Christmas.

Today I have been looking online and switching back to SW and dithering about what to do and then a leaflet dropped through the door from SW - I thought to myself "I'ts a sign"!!!

I will go back and had a really good read though this but I wanted to ask whether you all attend groups or not? My local group isn't ideal for me time-wise but I was thinking I could still attend ww to get weighed - not sure whether I trust myself without an official "at group" type weigh in.

    What do others think?
  • Yeah I only know cos I still have my book right under my nose LOL

The holiday gain will defo go just give it time.

Its really annoying how long it takes to come off though & then it comes back on so quickly!

    Dxxx
  • I do attend a group, Weighing at home doesnt work for me.

I am just getting bigger all the time.

I also bought the 12 week countdown so that I continue to go each week.

Denise - DH was studying the recipe for the brownies and got me to check the syn value of flour and it turns out to be very similar to cocoa. He was wondering if it would be possible to swap the cocoa for flour to make a 'plain cake' and then fill with the sweetened lemon quark - even roll it into a swiss roll type of thing. What do you think? I really struggle with diet type desserts and would much rather have a little bit of something synful. :o

No idea but might be worth a try. Think I'd try it with a half mixture first to reduce the cost.

Back from weekend away - even got some BM in!!! Went to a barn dance - it was a real laugh.

Have had a Green day and a Red day Friday and Saturday and kept within syns (which is probably a first on a weekend away!).

    Today will be EE:

B - SW fry up with bacon, egg, mushrooms & beans
L - LO sausage & bean casserole with couscous
D - Roast beef, roast potatoes, brocolli, cabbage & swede.

    HEA - milk
    HEB - 1 slice bread 0.5; Alpen Light 0.5

Syns - couple of glasses of wine 12; fruit split 3 = 15

  • Going to Aldi to get my weekly fruit and veg tomorrow. So I don't make the same mistake as last week, can some kind soul tell me which yogurts are sin free please. I tend to buy cherry, strawberry and orange, if available.
    Thanks.

Good idea. We only made half brownie mixture to give it a go but you can guarantee that if we do the full mix it will not work out too good. Daren't add it to get done this week as any free time we may have had is getting gobbled very quickly. It might be next weekend before we get a chance. Sometimes its nice to have a bit of cake or something on a Sunday afternoon :D

Welcome to all the newbies. :hello: Lovely to see you back Mildredd and everyone else returning from hols. Bet all the gains were worth it and wont hang around too long. Hope you all get a pleasant surprise at wi - might not be as bad as you were thinking.

I attend a class tryingtocutback atm as I am not too sure how I would manage doing it all myself. I did give serious consideration before joining SW as I thought well I would need willpower doing SW so if I had willpower and had my good head on I should be able to do SW/eat healthy at home and save £5 a week. Perhaps further down the line I might be able to break free from the class. :rotfl:

Having a roast chicken dinner tonight - its in the oven now and the smell is driving me crazy.

Here's hoping we all have good losses to report next week.

Maman I am sure you are right SW don't seem to want us to do this. I pasted this list into a word programme ages ago and then copied and pasted here.
When I try cut and paste it wont appear right in the word programme.
