Plain is free!!:T
Thanks maman
Good luck on resisting the crisps. This is the recipe I used but will reduce the sweetner next time I think
syn free lemon curd
3 heaped dessertspoons sweetener
Grated rind and juice of 1 lemon
2 large eggs
2oz fromage frais
In bowl suitable for standing over simmering pan place grated rind and sweetener.
In separate bowl whisk lemon juice and eggs together then pour into first bowl.
Place bowl over a pan of simmering water stirring until thickened
Add fromage frais whisking until smooth
Stores for 5 days in fridge
Thanks meg - duly noted so that I can have a go through the week.
Just had a little try of the Lakeland lemon quark and it will defintely need more sweetening for my taste - phwoar  I wondered if the result would be the same if I added lemon juice to the plain quark and then it would be free.
Denise - DH was studying the recipe for the brownies and got me to check the syn value of flour and it turns out to be very similar to cocoa. He was wondering if it would be possible to swap the cocoa for flour to make a 'plain cake' and then fill with the sweetened lemon quark - even roll it into a swiss roll type of thing. What do you think? I really struggle with diet type desserts and would much rather have a little bit of something synful.

I'm not an expert on Red but it looks fine to me (assuming you've got the syns right for gravy and stuffing). As you're doing Red though, you're allowed extra HEXs. So what about some toast with your boiled eggs? Or I like to do a swede/carrot mash and then bake it in the oven with grated cheese on top?
I'm trying to cut down on the gluten and dairy so until I go shopping (or I get some energy to make my own), no toast or cheese for me.Weight loss 0/2st

After seeing your menu durham - you have set me off fancying roast parsnips now. Having roast chicken dinner tomorrow so there had better be some parsnips to go with it.
Not much help with red and green these days I'm afraid (did it nearly 20 yrs ago) but since I have started this time I have only done EE and quite impressed with it so far.
Hope you manage to get your food intolerance sorted soon.

Thanks for that.. Parsnips can be a HEB on Red (original) just like potatoes and sweet potatoes. Good idea for mim if she's not having bread.
Only ate a couple of crisps tonight from a bag OH opened. That's another bag gone from the multi pack.:j0 -
That's great kiwi especially as you're doing it all long distance without the same shops and brands that we're using.:)
Fortunately most things are comparable in terms of the basics, meat, fruit, veg, pasta, rice and such like. I do struggle a bit with the seasons here, as imported stuff is so expensive and we rely mostly on seasonal fruit and veg; which can be a bit grim (or very expensive) during winter months if you're wanting anything remotely salad like.
Today is;
B. Baked beans with bacon on toast (HexB)
D. Roast Pork Loin, Potatoes, Carrots and Broccoli, gravy - maybe some butternut squash & stuffing
Yesterday I made a batch of SW Chips for dinner; I have made them before but usually leave the skins on so they are more like wedges but decided to peel them cos the potatoes were having a few eyes and ears and beards growing. Bearing in mind OH has no idea of my cunning SW plans - he was blown away. He took on mouthful and said 'Wow, these aren't oven chips are they? Did you make them yourself, they're the best chips ever.' :T I am sure he thinks I hand-fried them in lard or something.Mortgage

Having discovered EE, I did it for 3 days this week. Usually I do mostly green and a couple of red. I was dubious about losing any weight on it because I ate a lot, especially meat, compared to my usual amount. However, I lost 1lb this week and that's what I usually lose so no harm done and I haven't been light headed or irritable in the slightest, so that's a bonus.
I'm going to carry on mixing the green and EE and see how it goes.
The way I look at it, if I lose 1lb a week, I'll still be more than a stone lighter by Christmas.Start weight 13st10 (on 06/07/14) - 1st Goal 11st9 (by 14/12/14 - 23 weeks)
