Not sure quite how this happened; am still in shock but not complaining that I have lost 2 pounds this week.

That makes me over my target for this particular summer challenge but will keep going as I would ultimately like to see another five come off. :j

That's great kiwi especially as you're doing it all long distance without the same shops and brands that we're using.:)

mim, I agree with tie that you should try upping the SFs. Why not aim at a version of Success Express and increase the SFs to closer two thirds. That should automatically push the carbs down a bit too.

I'm not going to posts menus today as we're off to a wedding in a bit and it's a takeaway style buffet so I doubt there'll be salad. :o
    Xx

It's infuriating that with so much emphasis on obesity/healthy eating these days that so many buffets are full of fat and sugar. I find even the SMs are guilty of providing salads that look healthy enough but loaded with oil and mayo.

    My EE menu:
B: NAS Ribena, baked beans, HEB toast, HEA milk
    L: probably veg soup
D: SW burgers, SW chips, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes and either Green beans or peas
Syns: squirt of HP, weekend wine.:)

May I ask a question about noodles? I tried rice noodles but they resembled mush when cooked so I tried straight-to-wok. I like these and they're less than 2 syns for half a pouch. How do instant noodles compare? Which brands do you use? What's a favourite way to cook them?

    Hello everyone
Some great losses again, we are all doing so well
Durham, can someone help you out with your food diaries? If you are aiming to lose weekly then something must be slightly out with your diary. Why don't you write everything down next week and let us see it as a weeks food, we might spot something that is stopping you from losing.
Thanks for posting weights today, it does make it easier than trawling through, I may have added your losses twice though this week so if your total is wrong then let me know!!
    Happy Saturday

Agreed, I think some people may feel they're being healthy by having a salad but then the salad is just as many calories as a macdonalds!!

Feeling really, really fed up today. WI and its another STS I have been the same for the last 7 months. I weighed during the week and occasionally the scales showed a 1lb loss so there is definately some movement, but when it gets to Saturday its the same weight again. My scales don't show half pounds so it may be there is a half pound loss. I'm just so frustrated as I'm trying all the suggestions in this thread. Its so bad I've been thinking of switching back to low carb but I don't want to do that as it is quite restricting and everything has to be made from scratch there is no quick snack for when you are tired.

Instead of going completely low carb would you consider doing red days instead?
    Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.

Got it in one beg it was the pistachio one lol. Saw them a couple of weeks ago and could not resist. The Champagne ones are nice too but the pistachio one is so gorgeous. Two more in the freezer but I am limiting myself to one on weigh day only if I loose (so they will last a while then lol).

Oh dear another box ended up in my trolley yesterday - well it would have been rude to have left them especially when they were half price in Sainsbobs :p

Thanks joedenise and meg72 I will take a look at the grocery thread. Aiming to spend £380 this month.

Meg72 cannot wait to have a go at making yoghurt in the slow cooker. Have a mad busy weekend but will let you know how I get on next week.

    Welcome slimwriter, sandra and emily926

frogga I love quark, use it for all sorts. If you see the vanilla lakeland one get it, its not free but well worth the syns.

Got the job so went for celebratory chinese buffet today. Totally naughty but had to be done. Will be way over my syns as I had ice cream and a little slice of cake as well.

Still full though so not had any tea. If I get hungry later on I will have some fruit.

Weigh in was Wednesday 1.5lbs off for me. I am away at the weekend so going to bow out of the challenge. As I am struggling to post on a Saturday and its not fair to make it so complicated for annie trying to make sure my figure is up to to date.

Well done on loss and new job tazzy :T I have just bought some Lakeland Quark (vanilla and lemon) this morning and I thought they would be free. Tried to check them and I cannot seem to find them listed - can you enlighten me please :D

I have considered this but need to wait until children are back at school/Uni as food budget is quite expensive atm.

Also in the past have gone lactose free as I was having trouble with IBS. Since starting SW I have had ordinary milk and have not suffered any stomach symptoms, but I have just felt generally yuck and this week my mouth is full of sores which has happened in the past when eating normal milk products. I'm going to use up whats left in the fridge and then move back to lactofree products for a couple of weeks to see if that makes a difference. I have read if you are intolerant to something then your body retains extra water to cope with it. If not, then I will move to red days.

Still think its not enough super free but if budget is tight, something is better than nothing :D

Instead of lactose being the problem have you considered gluten/wheat intolerance? I have IBS and my Dr recommended the FODMAP diet [Google it]. I have now cut out gluten/wheat and am going through other things on the list to see what triggers an attack. Am much better now im gluten free, also my mouth has been much better and no more ulcers :D. Ulcers are another symptom of coeliac disease, might help to rule out by having the blood test too. Hope that helps.
