Oh another bit of news!!! I was measured last night for my entry and it turns out I'm a whole inch taller than I thought I was there my BMI is 24.3 and I am well under the normal range for my height now.

    Absolutely delighted!!

Feel like booking a Drs Appointment - going in and saying for the first time ever I have a normal BMI ! Woo hoo - you can't tell me to lose weight anymore or that that is the reason behind me being sick with whatever it is at the time.

Flip me if I had a sore ear he would tell me to lose weight lol

Oh bless Latanna its all the stretching and planking you`ve been doing you have stretched yourself taller. Thrilled to bits for you ,
    so hope you win.

Would love to see your Drs face if you told him that :rotfl:

Well the syn free lemond curd is nice, very nice, maybe a little sweet but will try again with less sweetner. Trouble is I now want toast and I already had a ham roll for lunch. Thinking maybe to have some on apple slices. Mind if I don't stop sampling it there wont be any left to put on anything,

    Hi,
Thank you for this advice! I shall keep them then. I bought the magazine today so I am looking forward to reading this cover to cover tonight. :)

"AFAIK there hasn't been any major overhaul of books in that time so yours should be fine. I'm assuming it's the orangey coloured one. It should be fine as a guide but, to be honest, all the up to date syn values and HEXs are on the website rather than in the books. It's also worth buying the magazine from time to time too. Just ask if you're not sure of anything. Lots of us have access to the site and can look things up for you."

    Kind regards
    Gillian

Hi, thanks for that. Yes it was a veggie curry. I was still within my Syn limit just trying to get my head around the EE plan. :rotfl:

No problem. You'll get the hang of it. EE is great if you want plenty of e.g. meat and potatoes (and veg of course);). If you're having a veggie day then there's no point. You might just as well do Green and take advantage of the extra HEXs.

Sorry, no I haven't been to any of those lantanna but I'd love to know. I remember saying to my consultant that if I turned up and said I got to target by saving all my syns for wine I'd probably be thrown out!!:rotfl:
  • Sorry not had time to read today but I noticed that Sainsbugs have the Blue Diamond Almond Milk on offer at £1 instead of £1.50. Worked well in the rice pudding I tried through the week (nice and creamy) but I haven't really tried it in other things. Might be useful as I think it is 875mls for a hexa on EE.

Must dash off for now as going to try a half mix amount of chocolate brownies to take down to sil's tonight so that we can 'sample' them before Monday's tasting.

Will try to catch up later with you all.

  • I love the recipes and menus, this thread is fast becoming my go-to place when I use my computer!

    Today's menu on EE:
    B: banana, apple, grapes
L: LO herby tomato pasta with veg, LO grilled kebab with cheese, salad, NAS squash.
D: veg curry with a small chapatti.
    Snacks: fruit. (So far!)
    HEA: cheese
I'm wondering if I can count the chapatti as a HEB?

It'll be my third week at SW this Monday. I love cookbooks and the only thing which stopped me buying them all last week is the fact that I didn't take enough cash :o Is it worth getting them all? I like the look of the curries, fakeaways, easy family meals, branded syn values... Oh heck, all of them! :D

Which ones do other members have and which would you recommend please?

Well good news here. I shifted 0.5 lbs this week and got my 6.7 stone cert!!! Woo hoo.

I also got Woman of the year - well done to you Annie also!

I had a really really lovely night and knowing that I am an inspiration to some people is really lovely.

The whole thing struck a cord with me - and I thought sometimes I guess you've got to just concentrate on the positives in life - there may be lots of things going wrong but there is always something that is going right.

I'm submitting my entry for the District finals next week. Will keep you all posted.

Massive congratulations Lantanna and good luck for the district ones.
