Well good news here. I shifted 0.5 lbs this week and got my 6.7 stone cert!!! Woo hoo.

I also got Woman of the year - well done to you Annie also!

I'm submitting my entry for the District finals next week. Will keep you all posted.

    Brilliant!!:T:T:T
When you appear in the magazine, I hope this thread will get due credit!:D

    Planning an EE day today:
B: NAS Ribena, HEB toast, scrambled eggs, HEA milk for teas
L: plenty of options depends how I feel (soup? ham & asparagus? fried veg?)
    D: Szechuan Beef with noodles
Syns: squirt of HP sauce, cornflour, noodles

The last couple of times I've done the Szechuan Beef the sauce has been thick and gloopy so I'm going to use the barest minimum of cornflour.

  • Hi All,

I did SW a long time ago and found it perfect for me.

I lost the weight and kept it off for years but changed jobs 3 1/2 years ago and have managed to gain nearly 2 stone in the process!

I work long hours and I am often away from home so joining a group isnt really right for me so I have decided to go it alone (with the help of this thread of course!).

I bought a set of books off E*ay and they were advserised as 2014 but when they have arrived they are Jan 2013.

I have tried to search to see what the differences are but couldn't seem to get a clear answer so I am hoping one of you may be able to advise me if I need to ditch the 2013 book, or if its still ok to use them?

Thank you to anyone who is able to help me.

    Gillian :)

    D - SW chicken Jambalaya

I checked the online recipe (for Chicken Jambalaya not the speedy one) to see how it differed from my usual (adapted from pre-SW). It's almost the same but I put mushrooms, carrots and garlic in mine too. All helps keep up the SFs! And if any leftovers it's delicious hot or cold. I start mine on the hob then cook in the oven as I find it easier than standing over it.

Talking of SFs, your menu seems very lacking today. Hope you don't mind me commenting.:o

AFAIK there hasn't been any major overhaul of books in that time so yours should be fine. I'm assuming it's the orangey coloured one. It should be fine as a guide but, to be honest, all the up to date syn values and HEXs are on the website rather than in the books. It's also worth buying the magazine from time to time too. Just ask if you're not sure of anything. Lots of us have access to the site and can look things up for you.

Congratulations tazzy on the job and the weightloss! :T

Just had a read through your menu. If it's a veggie curry, could you count the oil as a HEB and call it a Green day?

Hi, thanks for that. Yes it was a veggie curry. I was still within my Syn limit just trying to get my head around the EE plan. :rotfl:
Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:
