  • I made the brownie tonight so thank you for that! I found it quite 'dark' in taste so had it with raspberries and a banana and custard mullerlight on top, delicious!

Just dropping in to say "Hi!" I've still not quite got my SW head on. I'm "sort of" doing it and I've manage to STS over the last couple of weeks. I plan to be back boring you all after WI on Tuesday (and if it's another STS it'll be a miracle). I need to be back.

I've had a quick read through. I won't comment on individuals.

I'm sending condolences and comfort, commiserations and consolation, with love to all of you who need them as well as congratulations to those who've earned them.

    Hi all
I'm away on hols at the moment.
Can't remember who had the cooker issues but one thing I've learned is that there isn't much you can't cook in the microwave!
I make mushy pea curry by using curried beans(1 syn) passata and mushy peas, all done in the microwave with microwave rice.
I do diet coke Quorn in the microwave- diet coke, Worcester sauce and passata all bunged in together and cooked for 30 minutes.
    Pasta comes out nice in the microwave- carbonara with laughing cow, tuna pasta with a tin of tuna and a bit of passata;
Tesco have some fab low syn ready meals in their Healthy Living selection; I also like Quorn cottage pie.
I also cook Linda McCartney sausages in the microwave and have them with mash and beans that I make in the microwave.
I buy smoked salmon and make scrambled eggs in the microwave.
I make packet couscous with water from the kettle and finish it off in the microwave.
A little improvisation goes a long way :)
Being on hols I'm not really on plan at the moment but I must say I am enjoying it!!

Congratulations tazzy on the job and the weightloss! :T

I used to do just green or red days. So thought i would have a bash at EE.

Breakfast 1HB weetabix and HA of skimmed milk with a banana on top-rest of milk used in tea.

Dinner-Omelette with ss peppers and onions, large salad and a baked potato which needed using up.

Evening meal-SW curry, using peppers, onions and peas.

Sweet syn free low fat yoghurt and fruit.

Syns used so far-dressing ( low fat) 1 level tablespoon 2 syns

100ml of orange juice- I think is 4.5 syns, but not quite sure. So will take this value.

Edit to add oil syns on as my spraylite wasn't working :/ Think that is 6 syns for a level tablespoon gutted

Just had a read through your menu. If it's a veggie curry, could you count the oil as a HEB and call it a Green day?

A much better day for me yesterday, I decided not to read or watch the news and spent the day out with my friend, The news from the hospital
was much more hopeful than we had expected so we decided to celebrate that, it was her Birthday yesterday and mine on Monday so celebrated those too.

Not even going to think about syns or list what we ate, it was all worth it. My friend is very underweight now and has kindly said I can give her my excess, wouldn't that be lovely if we could :rotfl:

I have been given a recipe for syn free lemon curd and am quite excited as I do miss having this. so will get a couple of lemons later and try it. Will let you know if its nice.

Having yet another EE day today:

B - scrambled eggs on toast; banana; grapes
L - LO coq au vin (not synning the wine as synned it yesterday for the recipe)
D - HM sausage & bean casserole; mash (1 syn for 2 sausages from my local butcher)

HEA - milk in tea as usual
    HEB - 2 slices bread
    Syns: sausages 1; weekend wine

Away for the weekend so will probably be off plan tomorrow as going to a country show - there's usually plenty of off plan stuff to try!

Well good news here. I shifted 0.5 lbs this week and got my 6.7 stone cert!!! Woo hoo.

I also got Woman of the year - well done to you Annie also!

I had a really really lovely night and knowing that I am an inspiration to some people is really lovely.

The whole thing struck a cord with me - and I thought sometimes I guess you've got to just concentrate on the positives in life - there may be lots of things going wrong but there is always something that is going right.

I'm submitting my entry for the District finals next week. Will keep you all posted.

Oh another bit of news!!! I was measured last night for my entry and it turns out I'm a whole inch taller than I thought I was there my BMI is 24.3 and I am well under the normal range for my height now.

    Absolutely delighted!!

Feel like booking a Drs Appointment - going in and saying for the first time ever I have a normal BMI ! Woo hoo - you can't tell me to lose weight anymore or that that is the reason behind me being sick with whatever it is at the time.

Flip me if I had a sore ear he would tell me to lose weight lol
