Went to bed early but couldn't get to sleep until after midnight, and then was up and down to the loo several times. I've stopped having coffee in the morning as I thought that might be stopping me from sleeping so that could be the reason for the headache. Anyway I deliberately slept in this morning to try and rest up. I've just had breakfast and feel slightly better, perhaps I had low blood sugar too.

JoeDenise - Do you have the brownie recipe please?
Top Girl: of course. Can't remember where I got the recipe but here it is:
SW Chocolate Brownies
Ingredients
6 eggs (separated)
70g Splenda (or other sweetener)
60g cocoa powder (not hot chocolate)
1tsp vanilla essence
Fry Light
Instructions
Preheat the oven at 180ºc, spray a baking tin with Fry Light
Line with greaseproof paper
Whisk the egg whites until they form soft peaks. In a separate bowl add the egg yolks, sweetener, vanilla essence & cocoa
Whisk until mixed but you can add a bit of water if the mixture is too stiff
Then fold in the egg whites
Pour the mixture into the tin
Bake for 25-30 minutes.
Eat hot or cold.
To work out syns you need to divide 11 by number of pieces made.
I made mine in 2 18 cm x 18 cm tins and cut into 36 pieces from each (72 pieces in total) so came to 3 pieces for 0.5 syns.
They are actually a bit like bitter chocolate so quite rich and you don't need a lot for a chocolate "fix".

Good to see you consultant. Always great advice. How are you doing?
I'm fine thank you maman. Been on holiday lately and it's taken me ages to try to read up on the 20 something pages I missed
It looks like we've got a bunch of new forum members, which is lovely to see, and some super losses too - well done to the 'losers' and hugs for those who're struggling.
Meg, I can think of nothing helpful to say, so please have a virtual hug and be kind to yourself......and the garden!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

I too de-iced my chest freezer today, thought i saw parts of the titanic in the ice it was that bad. Nearly fell head first while wiping the slush at the bottom, had to be rescued by hubby :rotfl:.
I used my handheld vax steam cleaner, done in a jiffy. Didnt find any goodies in mine though, just loads of chicken and veg oh and tubs of leftover somethings [must label stuff as no idea what they are
].
This made me giggle TIE.....my Mum once toppled head first into a chest freezer (years ago) and Dad and I couldn't get her out for laughing
As for labeling stuff, it's a bit like a lucky dip. You may think you're defrosting mince, only to find it's blackberries.....it makes for interesting tea-times :rotfl:I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

The day after we returned from holiday we went across to the east coast of Yorkshire to look at some holiday sites as we had decided to possibly look at going in together (us and bf's parents) on a caravan of our own ... well long story short we ended up buying one which has both good and bad points for us.
The main naughties on holiday were: 2 sharer sundaes, two portions of chip shop chips, 2 mr whippy ice creams and a big portion of mil's cabbage mash (potatoes, cabbage, butter and cheese) oh and wine. I'm not really a big drinker but mil constantly pours me onethough I often left more than half of them.
Congratulations on buying your caravan. If it's in Bridlington, you'll have the best fish and chips in Yorkshire on the doorstepDiscipline is the name of the game and I count myself as very well behaved when I went recently and bought some for my Mum and sat alongside her eating my salad.
I have decided that, for me, it's the vinegar that makes fish and chips so enticing....I love the smell.
Your MIL's cabbage mash sounds wonderful (though calorie-laden). I love bubble and squeak but have never had it with cheese.I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

Well done Crabapple!!
Keep clinging on Jellybaby
Awh Meg – what a terrible experience that must have been for you. Terrible doesn’t even cover it does it. You are a strong strong lady and your son would be proud of how you have battled on. I too get angry with the news. Anyone with depression or who suffers from it knows the battle that it is and how you are tormented and just want it to stop and sadly for some people it just gets to much to deal with and they can only see one way out.
You could come to my house and attack my garden if you like J
I’m ignoring the comment about the Pistachio Magnum – lol I do not need to know it exists.
Wi for me later - pah hate Thursdays. Feel like I'm preparing to get weighed for a boxing fight or something.
Not in the slightest bit hopeful for anything off at all!
