Hi all
Just home from a ten day break, stepped onto the sales this morning and was so pleased to discover Id stayed the same.... :j I have to admit to ice cream and some other naughties, though I had tried my best to stick to plan when I could especially at breakfast and lunchtimes.
Stocked up the fridge again with fruit and veg etc, and the weather is so unlike summer that I made a pan of vegetable soup today.... I've another 4lbs to lose by the end of the month to achieve my challenge target
Havent had time to read back, so hope everyone is doing well
RxSW Challenge summer 2014 - lose 10lb - 6/10 :j0 -
It's our wedding anniversary today. DH forgot until a card arrived from a friend yesterday. To be fair, it's the first time ever he's done this, and he's mortified. It's just that he's had a lot on and got preoccupied. Waiting for a wash to finish and then we'll go out somewhere. SW won't be figuring today but back on it tomorrow.;)
By fluke, we got married on my husband's boss's birthday. She reminds him in good time every year bless her!!
Meg I'm so sorry all of this is bringing your loss back to you. Sorry, I know that sounds stupid because it will always be with you, but the coverage of Robin's death is clearly bringing the worst of it to the front of your mind x
I hate the coverage I'm seeing. The one positive is the awareness of mental illness and severe depression being raised which you can only hope will help some people. But trawling through his life and everything that has gone on is just to fill and sell the papers and can only make things worse for those family and friends who actually knew him.
It seems these days that a lot of stories are cobbled together from social media, not even speaking to people. I read a tragic story a few months back and discovered subsequently that 'quotes' from the deceased's family were taken off their facebook accounts, and worse, from a closed group on facebook. No actual journalism at all.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Meg - So sorry it's all bringing your own experiences back to you. My brother's funeral was very similar; loads of "brothers" turned up, very upsetting.
JoeDenise - Do you have the brownie recipe please?
Well done losers
I have been starving all day today.
B - Cheesy scrambled egg (4 syns), mushrooms, HEXB toast, strawberries and an Apple.
D - Tuna and spring onion mayo (1 syn), baked potato, a large salad and a cup of speed soup.
T - Leftover savoury mince, broccoli, cabbage and asparagus.
I've just eaten a tin of mushy peas, no idea, I just fancied them and I was hungry.
HEXA - milk
HEXB - toast
I've had two and a half litres of water and three cups of tea, just a hungry day I guess. 2 syns on an options later with the last of my HEXA milk.
Still not in the best frame of mind, just treading water/keeping swimming at the moment.0 -
Meg I can't say I understand what you're going through, but it sounds awful to have it all brought back
sending hugs.
I stirred quark through pasta (first time using it) and put it in the oven. It tastes of.... Yoghurt. Is this normal?I don't eat plain yoghurt, can't stand the taste. I usually have the morrisons free flavoured ones.
Is there any way of rescuing the pasta or is it destined for the bin? Feeling a bit of a numpty for assuming that the taste would 'go' in the oven.0 -
Hello all, i would like to join in. I have lost 2.5 stone on sw before and sadly have put on 2 stone. I have been poorly with vertigo ( Menieres) so was unable to exercise or keep an eye on my diet- i lost my way a bit. So determined to get back on the bandwagon and get going. BOB xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
Still lurking around with a hope of some salvation:cool:0 -

Hugs to those of you who need them. Fortunately I have managed to avoid all the media hype regarding Robin Williams, but my heart goes out to his family as they have enough to deal with.
