Ah Meg, so sorry to hear that. We just have no idea of the tragedy that others go through do we? Words and false sentiment can feel so trite, so all I shall say is, I'm thinking of you, and truthfully, feeling very lucky not to be able to say I know how you're feeling.Say it once, say it loud ~ I'm an Atheist, Anti-Royalist, Socialist, Tea-Total Veggie Frog and PROUD!:D

SW Savoury mince is delicious, might be more of a winter meal though...
Syn free on EE
Serves 6
Ingredients:
750g extra lean mince beef
2 medium onions, peeled and roughly chopped
2 garlic cloves, peeled and crushed
3 medium carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
2 medium sized potatoes, peeled and chopped into 2cm squares
200g button mushrooms
1 cup of frozen peas
5 beef oxo cubes (crumbled)
800ml hot water
5 tbsp tomato puree
Frylight
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
Method:
Place a large frying pan with Frylight and place over a medium heat and brown the onions, add the garlic and cook for a minute.
Add the mince, season and mix well and cook until browned then add potatoes, carrots, tomato puree, oxo cubes and hot water, mix well and cover. Cook for 40-45 minutes stirring every now and then. (If it starts to thicken up just add a little more water)
Remove the lid, add the mushrooms and peas and cook until it thickens. This should take about 10 minutes.
Check seasoning and serve.
Had on top of broccoli and cabbage for a super super free kick :A
Also kept it :money: by using one 450g pack of mince and sticking a lonely stray green pepper, some celery and extra potato and carrot in to compensate...0 -

Thoughts are with you Meg, nothing worse than losing a child
My thoughts are also with Robin Williams family, yes we lost a great actor/comedian but they lost a husband and father. Doesn't compare really.
Food today;
B - rice porridge, honey [2], coffee
L - curry, coffee
S - choc S-A-J [2], coffee
T - chicken risotto, oil [2], tom sauce [1]
HEA - milk
HEB - rice porridge

Need to make another batch of curry, sooooooooooo want a loss this week.
I too de-iced my chest freezer today, thought i saw parts of the titanic in the ice it was that bad. Nearly fell head first while wiping the slush at the bottom, had to be rescued by hubby :rotfl:.
I used my handheld vax steam cleaner, done in a jiffy. Didnt find any goodies in mine though, just loads of chicken and veg oh and tubs of leftover somethings [must label stuff as no idea what they are
].
Its not what you do but the way that you do it, thats what get results :T

Evening all
Ok day today..
B: banana (got up really late as I was feeling rotten so it was actually lunchtime!)
L: pasta with a topping of potatoes, okra, peppers, chicken, carrots and sweetcorn all cooked in tomato, salad, NAS squash.SW pizza topped chicken (HEA), SW wedges, salad, water
Snacks: mini fingers (7) French fries (4) bit of cheese (3), pear, grapes, plum.
Haven't had my HEB today... Don't really fancy bread. I might have a few peanuts.
I need to substitute the crisps and chocolate with something a bit healthier, maybe on alternate days.
Btw the SW pizza topped chicken is lovely! The family enjoyed it too.
I have 2 tubs of quark to use up, how does everyone else eat theirs? I've seen the ideas above, they're great. Thank youI'll be stirring some through the leftover pasta tomorrow to make a pasta bake and also making the mousse. Any other ideas?

Morning all
Had some fabulous losses - well done!!
Lovely day out today. Bright but cool (well it is at 6am anyway!). Menu for today:
B - Fruit and FF yoghurt
L - Left over tagliatelle with tomato sauce. Salad that I might add some chicken to.
D - SW fish and chips with oven roasted tomatoes, peas and sweetcorn.
Snack - Muller yoghurt and more fruit.
Drinks - Tea, coffee, water.
Edited to add that I'm having the tagliatelle tomorrow - I had a salad with chicken today. Also having a Nescafe Cafe Caramel drink.
Syns: 2.5 for salad cream, 2.5 for the drink, .5 for the Muller yoghurt.
HEX A - Milk in drinks
HEX B - Slice of bread with dinner or Hi-Fi bar.
Can anyone tell me how they would calculate salad as free food? I am trying to keep an eye on my five a day and don't know how many an average salad would be. Mine consist of salad leaves, cucumber, raw onion, radish, red pepper & tomato.0
