Hi, I have been lurking and am new to sw, been doing it two weeks. I have a 9 week old that I'm breast feeding and just wondered what you use all your HEX on. I only tend to have milk with my cereal and tea and some Alpen lights. I have been getting very tired though so am a bit worried that I'm not eating enough. Also worried about my milk being affected x
Congratulations on your little one! By the looks of things you also have an older child so with them running around all day and the lack of sleep of a newborn it's no wonder you are tired!
I've always been told that your body will find what it needs to make the milk. If you lose weight very fast (which is a bit awkward to judge early weeks as you will lose fast) then it may be that you are causing problems for yourself but probably not for baby x
So, I normally have breakfast cereal HEB, 2xHEA for milk on my cereal and tea/coffee through the day, alpen lights HEB, a wholemeal roll or slice of wholemeal toast with my luch HEB and often have some soft cheese at lunchtime too, either mozzarella with salad or light philadelphia on the bread HEA, and dinner is always heavy on the veg but I'll often put some cheddar or similar grated on top for another HEA.
Exactly how many you should be eating depends on the age and weaning status of baby but that's in the pregnancy and breastfeeding book. I think technically I should be having 8 at the mo but I do struggle to get that many in.
Make sure you eat lots of free food as well, including protein sources and of course drink lots of water and you will do fine:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Annie - reporting a -1lb loss this week.
This meant I received my 3st award  Really pleased with that in view of all the extra food I had at the wedding.
Lovely to see you back Shala :hello: Welcome to slimwriter and emily too.
Hubby has made me some rice pudding for when I got back in tonight. He used all almond milk and the result is nice and thick and creamy but not really sweet enough for me. He said he used more sweetener that it said to use so will have to have a bit of a think on that one.
Thinking of having a go at Speed Soup this week maybe.
Hope you all have a good week.

Seems 7lbs is a good loss on here today! Amazing!:T
I'd suggest you post your menus for a while sandy. You'll get instant feedback on here if it needs tweaking, far quicker than handing them in at group. And welcome to you and other newbies:). The more the merrier!0 -

re slimwriter post in lbs. 181 pounds is 12.9 stone and she wants to be 163lbs which is 11.6.stone.
Yep, that's the one! Some people find it a bit "eggy" but I don't. I usually make myself one when I make an apple pie or something similar for DH so I don't eat the pastry!!!
Denise0 -
Need to go shopping for some more fruit today as getting low (apart from apples and pears and I'm not too keen on them, I buy those for DH mainly so that he eats some fruit!)
EE day today:
B - marmite on toast; pineapple (only fruit I like that I've got left)
L - sweet chilli prawn noodles
D - gammon, egg, chips & beans; selection of fruit (once I've bought it, LOL!)
HEA - milk in tea throughout the day
HEB - bread
Syns: low fat spread 2; sweet chilli sauce 1.5; fruit split lolly 3 = 6.5
Really need to use more syns than this as I haven't had enough this week and am in danger of losing (which I don't want to do as virtually at bottom end of target range - only 0.5 lb leeway).
May syn a couple of Ryvita with butter later this evening.

Hello and welcome Emily and congratulations on the birth of your little one.
Meg that's interesting about the spray light. I have the olive oil and the sunflower frylight but agree they are not quite the same as proper oil. I don't really use much oil anyway so may investigate this further.
Meg and slimwriter sorry to hear about your knee problems/arthritis. I have a hip dyspraxia (arthritis of the hips) and had my right hip replaced 2.5 years ago and have never looked back. Like you slimwriter I am 46 and the pain relief is amazing. I am really trying to get rid of my excess weight as I know that at some stage in the future I will need the left one done and want to prolong it as long as possible.
Tie glad your tum was a bit better today.
Beg congratulations on your loss and gaining your new award.
Rosie fantastic loss well done.
Sandra welcome to the thread. Congratulations on your loss. Even with the 1lb on your have still lost 6lb. I am sure you will do well next week. Sometimes our bodies just need a wee while to catch up.
Lioness congratulations on your loss.
joedenise what a lovely feeling to have to eat more because you are in danger of losing :rotfl:. It's a very fine balance when you are maintaining and I can imagine in some ways it is harder than losing.
