I potted another £10 today, I have to say I'm so impressed with all these totals and I hope to be among the mega savers next year too, although it will be my first year so we'll just see how it goes

Evening
Well done on your total Sue-UU. That's an amazing amount too
A tip for getting into the tins that need a tin opener, without a tin opener.... stab the side of the tin with a pair of scissors and then you can cut the metal. Watch your fingers though
I have found a giving tree type of campaign closer to home. Its in my local Police Station and they have a list of 261 children in care that they want presents for
So, Sue, will we have the grand total at 11.59 tonight then
Forgot to say, I have potted £8 today.

Unlike sparky I have not been able to take any banked amounts from your sigs,I'm trusting that you'll all be able to give me the entire sums you've saved when you declare on the 27th. Thanks a lot folks.Ready at midnight today? Is it wrong to be so excited?
Thank you Sue UU from a soon to be new potter!
Ah, bless you, grassgirl. No, something's wrong if you DON'T get excited by the starting of SPC 8. You're already a member though (as soon as you're welcomed on), so get saving NOW!!!!

I've emptied my pot and the total is £937.24. I'm so pleased as a lot has gone on this year with the usual unexpected disasters!! A big boost has been finally quitting the cigs and putting all the money in the tin daily, that would have been buying the wretched things! Focussing my mind on a puppy has worked wonders...
Not much more to save towards a deerhound puppy joining Rosie in the spring!
Although I don't often post on this thread, I do read it regularly, so
A big THANK YOU SUE
Caz
Hiya Caz!!!! :hello: I so looked forward to you coming on, and wondering if you had hound No 2...but not too much longer to wait then!Excellent saving, Caz!!!!!! :j Terrific news also that you finally kicked the fags from your life, so many congratulations!!!!!! You know darned well that I am absolutely ECSTATIC for you at that!!!!!!!!! :j :T:j I shall be beaming for the rest of the week at that!
Amazing that it was all brought about by a mate for Rosie!
Take great care and well done on so many counts!
Hiya everyone :hello:
I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has been so supportive this year especially Sue-UU. I really don't know how I would have got through some things this year without all you lovely people.
I am surprised at my totals after all the problems with jobs and then all the monies spent on the bl**dy car, but I did manage to keep off the ciggies and that helped.
Well, I am declaring at £ 1178.48
I have put the £ 8.48 back to start the pot ready for later tonight :rotfl:
I am soooo pleased with the savings as that will pay for most of our holidays in March without having to load the ccs.
I'll check back later. Do you still want me to bump up the reminder Sue-UU ?
Lx
Yes please to the thread bumping, Lynne!!!! If this year's anything like the last 6 they keep us waiting for quite a while. I'm hoping it'll be quicker this year as I couldn't have put the date up anymore than I did! We'll see! (Now then, onward....)
Congratulations on SUCH FANTASTIC savings, Lynne, you've done brilliantly!!!!!!! :j:T:j Congratulations also on kicking the fags from your life, what a GIFT!!!!!I couldn't be happier for you, I think you know that, 16 years for me on Christmas Day!!
Observer wrote:Well it seems to have finally got to count daySo I've finished work and got home quickly to count my pot. It came to £59.67 but not being one for weird amounts I raided my purse and would like to declare
£60 saved #220
please
Which actually I'm quite impressed with as it's almost double last years effort (although I haven't saved £2's separately this year) :T
Thanks Sue (and the other helpers) for keeping this thread up an running so brilliantly. I know I no longer participate much but I'm here in spirit and do pop in occasionally.....even if you don't realise it
I realise you've probably answered this a hundred times but did you ever get a reply from sparky? Also thanks so much for still being able to compile an GT in the near future. Excited:j
Hope all is well and that everyone is happy with their own totals and the best of luck/skill/etc for next year....
Hi there, Observer, and wonderful to see you!!!! I see you too have an amazing amount to celebrate!!! Congratulations to you and well done on saving the £2s, they capture us all in their spell!!!!!:T:dance: I e-mailed sparky 2 or 3 months ago; his Wife was very poorly and Drs couldn't find out why, but I've heard nothing since - not even today when I really thought he'd be in! I'll hopefully e-mail him before the end of the day and when I hear anything I'll definitely put in on a post. Fingers crossed166millioen wrote:377: 166million

Better than nowt for certain, 166million, it's still savings of which you should be proud!!!!!! :j:T:j Why not have a look at the 1st post on page 1 for tips on how to boost it next year. For now, be happy, proud too!
Well potted, Flutterby! Oh, I have a real feeling that you'll be one of our mega savers next year....go for it!!!32b3in2013 wrote:So, Sue, will we have the grand total at 11.59 tonight then
Pfft, I dearly wish so, 32b3, but nah...!Wonderful news about the Giving Tree, all the best in doing your bit!!!
You could get away with the hole in the tin, but I couldn't put it on the rules - could I??! No, best not!

Aww Crimson Hun...I am sooooooooo pleased for you!! I hope you and your lovely gorgeous Man enjoy your first Christmas together and that it's the first Christmas of MANY (which I'm sure it will be)....I'm so pleased to see you happy...you deserve it hun xXx
I know I said I would only Pot on a Wednesday Evening but I had a spare 10p in my Purse so I Potted that....I think that I might Pot little amounts during the Week - Like 5p, 10p or 20p...and save the other amounts like 50p, £1 and notes in my Purse until a Wednesday Evening and then I can Pot them....
Struggling a bit tonight as today I was summoned to the GP Surgery for the Results of an Ultrasound Scan that I had on Sunday....there are some abnormal results....I'm trying not to freak out and it could be ANYTHING....but of course the dreaded "C" Word comes to mind....but I'm trying to stay positive and that I don't know anything yet....they are sending me for a Blood Test tomorrow morning and then a further procedure at the Hospital within 2 weeks....so I'm just going to keep busy and stay Positive...What will be, will be....and I have faith that I can be strong and deal with whatever it is...I'll let you ALL know what happens....
Apart from that...I found 10p on the Doormat of my local little Shop, so I picked it up quicksmart and popped it into my separate Pot for my Road Kill....can't wait to see how much I've managed to find across the Year and then Pot it in my main Pot....
I am off to grab a few hours sleep now and will look forward to seeing you all on the new Thread....Ta Ta for now0 -

Good for you with the potting, Helen, but so sorry to hear your health news. Still, as you say yourself - keep positive, stay calm and keep taking deep breaths; it'll quite possibly be them erring on the side of caution.Thoughts and prayers are with you, Helen {{{hugs}}} too. :kisses3:

Thank You Sue.....I appreciate the lovely warm caring words....xXx
I think what freaked me out the most was being called up and told to come to the Surgery as soon as possible....but they probably ARE just making sure it's nothing....and I can't worry about what I don't know....it'll send me crazy if I do that....so I'm going to TRY not to worry...
BTW...WELL DONE to EVERYONE on your Potting this past Year...you've ALL done AMAZINGLY well and I'm so pleased for ALL of you!!
Right...I really AM off to bed now....I'll see you all on the new Thread...xXx0 -
