NB everyone!
Unlike sparky I have not been able to take any banked amounts from your sigs,I'm trusting that you'll all be able to give me the entire sums you've saved when you declare on the 27th. Thanks a lot folks.
I suppose in general terms, grassgirl, 'mega potter' must mean someone who achieves a large sum of savings, and yes, it's really wonderful to see people having saved hard and ending up with good amounts as you know then they have plenty to go round for Christmas, their kiddies, holidays and so forth.
However, there are many varying people in SPC, some struggling to find work, some in jobs we're they get only the minimum wage and many who perhaps, through no fault of their own, owe a lot of money to firms, debts, mortgages and so forth.
For me a mega potter is someone who budgets well in order to save as much as is possible, but we always need to bear in mind the circumstances!
You save as much as you're happy with and if you see things you might like to buy, ask the question "do I need it or just want it?" If it's the latter then leave it there and pot the money instead! Like as not, if you went back a second time you'll probably not like whatever it was anyway!
Do what you can, you'll end up being a mega saver for sure!
Sue xx
Well said to Helen, Meowhouse, she just needs to believe it, I think she will if she remains calm and remembers that all the worrying in the world can't change anything. Best wishes to you, Helen xx
Ah, I'll be seeing you too perhaps then, 32b3.Always an exciting time just make sure I get both posts on first!
Sue xPLEASE folks, do ensure your correct Nos are on your siggies!! Many of you have ones from the old list which makes things more difficult for me.Please check the 2nd Post of the 1st page! IF you're not there please let me know as I had to change the entire membership list early in the year so you may be missing, but that can soon be sorted out.
An important note from girlatplay, folks: "I bank with Bank of Scotland and they accept as many change bags as you have, as long as you take them to the business banking counter.

I know I am thrilled just like everyone else with that amount - I can't believe that just from putting away bits of money that I would have otherwise frittered away I can save so much :T
I am definitely hooked and will attack it with more gusto next year - I did have times this year when I slacked a little
I can see now why other potters have increased their wins year on year :rotfl::rotfl:
I have my pot - and I am ready to go...

So, you're on your way to back to working again, grassgirl, you're obviously happy in it and, hopefully will be able to save a little as often as you can. Read through the 1st post of the 1st page at the idea of having a "Holding Pot" as that may come in handy for you.

Hi everyone!
#285 here, and I'm declaring £365.55 this year! £1 a day!
Wow, there's some fab totals coming through, isn't it great how it all adds up?! I potted 20p and under, and every single £2 that came my way (bar one when my bus pass had expired - parting with it was painful!!)
Half my total will be going towards Christmas, the rest will go towards the credit card. So excited - I'm on track to be debt free on 1st Dec - not long to go! Woo!
Grand job you've done here Sue, thanks - count me in for next year too!
