Some lovely and very wise words there, Lynsey, thank so much for helping people see the great rewards to be gained from joining SPC and saving money they would never have thought possible. xx
Hi everyone - delurking to say that my sealed pot had £154.75 in it - which I am very pleased about it. :j:beer::T:xmastree::xmassign:

My SPC number is 037 and I had originally aimed to save £500, but it has been a VERY tight year and I am delighted to have saved what I have.

Well done to everyone on your amazing totals - don't you just love SPC opening time. :D

Hello peaceandfreedom! It's so lovely to see you back to declare. I hope all's well for you. A tight year or not, you've certainly done so well in saving what you did. Very well done and congratulations!!!!:T:dance: I hope we'll see you before next year, but if not, have a better one and a lovely Christmas. :xmassign:

PLEASE folks, do ensure your correct Nos are on your siggies!! Many of you have ones from the old list which makes things more difficult for me. :(
Please check the 2nd Post of the 1st page! IF you're not there please let me know as I had to change the entire membership list early in the year so you may be missing, but that can soon be sorted out.

An important note from girlatplay, folks: "I bank with Bank of Scotland and they accept as many change bags as you have, as long as you take them to the business banking counter.

Anyone wishing to join, it's NEVER too late, so please just ask, you're more than welcome. :grinheart

    NB everyone!
Unlike sparky I have not been able to take any banked amounts from your sigs,I'm trusting that you'll all be able to give me the entire sums you've saved when you declare on the 27th. Thanks a lot folks.
    :)

I would like to join please

Of course you can join us, pinkladyvenus. A very warm welcome to you. :grinheart Have fun saving, posting and enjoying the banter. You'll find your number at the bottom of the list on the 2nd post of page 1. Please read through post 1 as it'll let you know exactly what to do with the challenge. PS. We always empty our pots and declare our savings near the end of November, please make a note of this year's date: 26th Nov.

Please also subscribe to the thread by clicking on "Thread Tools" (lower green bar) and clicking "Subscribe to this thread"...or you may lose us! To put your SPC No on, go to "Quick Links" (right side of top green bar), click and then click on "Edit Signature" and you're away. ;)

*Please pop your numbers on your sigs, it really helps.

Thanks so much for letting us know how she is, DeafLeopard. At least having her there for a few days will help determine what's wrong; the rest alone may do her the world of good, I hope so. BTW, it doesn't matter how small or large your amount of savings is, the main thing is that you're saving! See you when you're ready. :)

  • Hi,
I'm #229 and my grand total is £103.76. I hit a tight spot in the middle of the year where I had lots of expenses such as having to buy a new washing machine. I couldn't pot any money for a while but I'm proud that I managed to avoid having to dip into it.

I've really enjoyed this challenge and I'm looking forward to starting again tomorrow.

You obviously fought hard to save and save well, tracy6697, much to be extremely proud of when you leave your savings safe while striving to pay for the washing machine. Excellent saving for sure, congratulations to you!!!!!! :j:T:j Best wishes for next year too! :D

You're quite right about the new closing date for next year being the 5th November, Lynne, you may have noticed I'm trying hard to get the message across. At least you got the gist! ;) Do I detect the fact that you could be up for the start of SPC 8 maybe!
