My grand total is £434.59 for this years challenge. £200 in notes (banked) and £195 worth of coins to correctly fill money bags. As the bank don't take half full bags the remaining £39.59 will go straight into next years challenge.
Very happy and quite surprised I managed that in just 3 months by simply emptying the change in my pocket each night and not much else.0 -
Well done to everyone
Counted mine up and I have £124.95 SPC #416 which I'm pretty happy with, will try harder this time.
Updated total as found a £20 note stuck to the top of the cupcake saver £101 banked rest in pot for next yearChristmas is the most magical time of the year :santa2:

Excellent saving, bossymoo and I'm thrilled for you that you've now cleared your CC!!!!!!!!! That is amazing!!! :j:T:j Onward now to some real saving that YOU benefit from in a way to cover Christmas or treats Congratulations!!
Oh it has been for Xmas! Because I banked it, I knew I could spend some (on my cash back credit card, of course, and usually through quidco) My little lad can have the big Lego set he has been lusting after for months (which I was watching on camelcamelcamel and got at a much reduced price :money:)
So it's all treats, I've even had some new clothes :T
I'd have probably spent the money anyway, but it's nice not having to think which accounts to juggle - it was all waiting for me!
Thanks again for the thread - brilliant!Bossymoo
Away with the fairies :beer:0 -
Some amazing totals coming in, I'm totally in awe, well done everyone :T
I see that we get to keep the same numbers for next year- are we automatically in on it or do we need to do anything?
I'm starting next years off with £53.92, which is the loose change I have here. The rest is banked. I'm not going to put a target on it, I'm just gonna carry on and see if I can join the mega saversI’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Health & Beauty, Greenfingered Moneysaving and How Much Have You Saved boards. Many of you have ones from the old list which makes things more difficult for me.Please check the 2nd Post of the 1st page! IF you're not there please let me know as I had to change the entire membership list early in the year so you may be missing, but that can soon be sorted out.
An important note from girlatplay, folks: "I bank with Bank of Scotland and they accept as many change bags as you have, as long as you take them to the business banking counter.

Ready at midnight today? Is it wrong to be so excited?
Thank you Sue UU from a soon to be new potter!January 2025 - Debt £20,0060 -
Hi Sue-uu
I've emptied my pot and the total is £937.24. I'm so pleased as a lot has gone on this year with the usual unexpected disasters!! A big boost has been finally quitting the cigs and putting all the money in the tin daily, that would have been buying the wretched things! Focussing my mind on a puppy has worked wonders...
Not much more to save towards a deerhound puppy joining Rosie in the spring!
Although I don't often post on this thread, I do read it regularly, so
A big THANK YOU SUE

Hiya everyone :hello:
What super savings are being declared from everyone :j :T
I would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone who has been so supportive this year especially Sue-UU. I really don't know how I would have got through some things this year without all you lovely people.
I am surprised at my totals after all the problems with jobs and then all the monies spent on the bl**dy car, but I did manage to keep off the ciggies and that helped.
Well, I am declaring at £ 1178.48
I have put the £ 8.48 back to start the pot ready for later tonight :rotfl:
I am soooo pleased with the savings as that will pay for most of our holidays in March without having to load the ccs.
I'll check back later. Do you still want me to bump up the reminder Sue-UU ?

Hello everyone!
Well it seems to have finally got to count daySo I've finished work and got home quickly to count my pot. It came to £59.67 but not being one for weird amounts I raided my purse and would like to declare
£60 saved #220
please
Which actually I'm quite impressed with as it's almost double last years effort (although I haven't saved £2's separately this year) :T
Thanks Sue (and the other helpers) for keeping this thread up an running so brilliantly. I know I no longer participate much but I'm here in spirit and do pop in occasionally.....even if you don't realise it
I realise you've probably answered this a hundred times but did you ever get a reply from sparky? Also thanks so much for still being able to compile an GT in the near future. Excited:j
Hope all is well and that everyone is happy with their own totals and the best of luck/skill/etc for next year....
