Ah, I realise I have been a bit lax and not documented my 5 payday months as I usually do! (I am paid weekly, so there are 4 months of the year where I sneak in another payday....

    For 2015 they are

2 months free water?? How come??

Q.co has paid out - should be in my account by the end of the week!

Starting to stress a little about OH's BIG birthday that's looming in 8 days. (50....shhhh!) I have a lovely little present, dinner booked out for the night of his birthday and then a night away on the 20th, with a surprise meal with 7 of our closest friends and family. Sounds a lot - but I think there needs to be more actual presents... there is nothing he really wants so was toying with the idea of an experience day / activity day of some sort. All ideas on a postcard gratefully received!!

Still no snow here, its getting closer though. Latest reports about 20 miles away!!

Turning a negative into a positive!

This morning I landed squarely on my b*m having slipped on some ice in the back garden of the house I am sitting at. Back and associated area lovely and sore and stiff :( The positive of this is I am not going training this evening, meaning I have saved 24 miles worth of fuel!! lol (I was going to still go, but attempted a squat a little while ago and thought I was going to get stuck in that position!!)

Oh and the other positive is I am going to have a lovely long hot bath tonight to soothe my back ... at someone elses expense!! lol

So much for a cheap week.

OH has been at home on his own as I am house-sitting and obviously got bored.. despite the fact there is a list as long as the M1 of 'bits' that need doing round the house he has found time to browse on fleabay and won 3 items last night... totalling about £85.00!! I am not best pleased to say the least... the only saving grace is that there is money sat in P.pal to cover it... but I had other plans for that money!! Grrrr. Thinking of changing the fleabay password so he can't get on there (or is that a bit mean?)
I have told him that instead of 'browsing' online tonight he can scour the house for more items to put on fleabay to sell to cover his costs!!!

:j after searching I've managed to find the water bill we definitely do 10 payments, with the council tax I've got an extra £195.36 for two months :j

  • Grrrr to OH... hope your back and 'associated area' aren't too sore!

Great news on the water and council tax! I pay our CT six monthly so don't get that bonus two months, just slightly less to save throughout the year!

    Morning All!

Can't believe we are already 37 days into 2015! Seen countdowns online to Christmas 2015 already - really? Where is the need!! lol

Back and b0tt0m still sore and stiff, but getting better every day. Hoping they will have eased enough to go to boot camp next week! We will see though - not going to risk making it worse!

Online banking all checked for the week. I love it when my balances match my spreadsheets to the penny..... which they always do! Money moved accordingly!

YAY to KD - that is an amazing amount to have 'spare' for 2 months!! I have just got the CT at £142.00 x 2 months.

OH has said that his fleabay purchases are 'investments'!! One is destined for auction... as for the other 2... who knows!!? Still not impressed, but it is done and I can't change it. He had better have a nice pile of items for me to list when I get home!!

Still struggling for OH's birthday present. Getting desperately short on time now! Thinking cap not working!

Q.co has reached my account - need to boost the old cashback levels now... Once OH's birthday is done, I can divert all cashback towards clearing what I owe him! Every extra £100 I set aside is a week quicker in clearing the balance. And then all my money will be mine!! How strange will that feel?

Tried opening a 123Sant account through Q.co the other day. This will be the new home for the household expenses... might as well get some cashback on our DD's!! I hit a brickwall though as they want the card number for my existing account. But I haven't got a card as it is all DD's, SO's and online transactions. So I have had to apply to my existing bank to get a new card... then I can try again! Nothing is ever smooth is it!!?

Today is the deadline for TC to come back to me for the flight delay claim! If I don't hear anything, then I will start the small claims proceedings. It will have to wait 'til next week though when I am back at home and I can do it in peace and quiet! Another non-smooth thing to contend with!! lol

Right, off to do some work! Have a great day everyone... mind the ice out!! x

Ooh, Just joined O.Poll. Up to £4.75 already which is mainly surveys finding out about you so they know what surveys you might be suitable for. Can't cash out until I reach £40.00 - but reading through peoples diaries, it shouldn't take that long hopefully!

Just thought I would share that piece of info with you all! (although it is a handy reference for how quickly I reach check-out!!)
