Morning All!
What a mixed weekend..... Worked an extra 6 hours on Sat so that will be winging its way to me this Friday. Put some fuel in my car (well OH did) and we think the cashier charged us for the wrong pump... in our favour (not sure what to do about this!!?) Went to OH's sisters for a meal out and stayed with them for the night. Very nice and only cost us the price of a bottle of wine we took with us! Yesterday I got a parking ticket! £35 paid this morning out of the house account!! See - pretty mixed!!!
Ho-hum!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
£1.94 added to Q.co balance after buying mums birthday present.
Haven't been online over the weekend - really thought there would be a rake of O.Poll surveys waiting for me this morning.... but there wasn't! Oh well!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Soooooo.... I really should stop thinking - but it's what I do most when I have that feeling of not being in as control as I think I should be.
Anyway - this Friday I will be down to 36 weeks to go. I have been writing here about bringing my DFD forward. Now 1 week = £100. And that is quite a lot of money to set aside in addition. But..... if I convert weeks to days 36 x 7 = 252 days to repay £3600.
So that is £14.29 a day which is a much better bite-sized chunk.
It's all in the psychology!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Ah, Also need to document that as off Saturday afternoon just gone, I have not had a real cigarette. I have a vaporiser thing instead!
Cost of vaporiser = £25.00
Which is the cost of just over 3 packets of cigarettes. So by Thursday / Friday it would have paid for itself and I will be saving money!!! I do kinda miss a proper cigarette - sad I know - but if this contraption keeps me off them (as I am convinced for me it is not an addiction it is habit) then I am sure the monetary side of quitting will spur me on....
Lets take an average of 3 packs a week (it was more than this until 2 weeks ago when OH got his vapour thing. He was smoking baccy, but also my tailors) at £7.40 a pack = £22.20 a week.
£22.20 a week x 52 = £1154.40 a year (or £96.20 a month!)
Just by using that money I could virtually reduce my DFD by one week every month!! Definitely makes me think!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Oh, another way of looking at it is I can bring my DFD forward by one day for every 2 packets that I don't smoke!!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Sunny morning All!
Well, it's Monday again! Seems to come round sooo quick! That means paydays do too... I seriously cannot wait for my money to be mine!
Anyway, Friday was payday and money got moved accordingly.
8 of us went out Friday night to celebrate OH's big birthday. Had an amazing time and the bill was a lot less than I thought it might have been (the evening was on me!!) Nearly went mad and did some clothes shopping on Saturday as I knew there was money spare ... but then 'sensible Nat' re-appeared and I remembered I have a car service and MOT next month... so I looked but didn't buy and the money can be used towards the car bills! BORING!! But it is the right way forward. It's my b'day next month, so no doubt I will get some vouchers and then I can go shopping!
Was naughty and had 2 cigarettes Friday night! Not had any since, and I actually think that my usage of the vapour-contraption is decreasing. Vapour-contraption has already paid for itself = happy Nat!
Right, off to catch up on the rubbish that has accumulated on my desk since lunchtime Friday! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

I think I have 2 'free months' coming up on my car warranty. I have NEVER taken warranty on anything in the past (especially not cars as I have never owned them long enough from new to need it) - but I did with the car as I just had a feeling!! And to be fair it has cost me £250 for the year including breakdown cover... and I have had almost £1000 worth of work done under this warranty, so well worth its money!! It has been paid for at £25.00 a month, so I think Feb and March are free!
Soooo, I have my car to service and MOT next month (Tax is also due but I have already decided I am going to pay for that monthly!) I reckon I am going to need about £225.00. I have the surplus from OH's birthday to put towards it & hopefully £25.00 x 2 from above. I reckon I am currently about £40.00 short! Not the end of the world... better than putting the whole lot on the CC as I have in the past and then stressing about how I am going to pay the CC! I am starting to like this "having money available to pay for annual bills!" Life seems so much easier (although to be fair it never troubled me enough when I blatantly didn't have enough money in the past!!)
Right, enough ramblings from me for now. Laters! xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Ooh, O.Poll filling up at quite a steady rate... do you think I can get to £40 and cash out by the end of March? That could be the £40 I am currently short of paying for my car service / MOT!! That would be nice!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
