The sun is shining and the sky is blue - shame it wasn't like this yesterday, but we cannot control the weather.... yet!

Right, I had better plough on for now (to offset the survey time later!)

Hope you all get to enjoy some sunshine this weekend - I am hoping to go for a run tomorrow!! :O) (I WILL enjoy running, I WILL!!)

  • Hi Nat

I've got to sort out my car tax this month, I think I'll be doing the monthly thing this time, as I had a problem with it and had to buy a battery with the small amount I had saved in my car fund.

Hope you're feeling better, there's a lot of bugs around at the moment x

KD - for the sake of £9 over the year it is definitely the way forward (for me at least) - no big spike in expenditure!!

So, here I am again! It's Friday, the sun is shining and I have been paid. Money moved as necessary.

So... what has happened this week?
Not a lot to be honest... OH wants to book a holiday!! Hmmm, only if he comes up with a viable money making scheme in the near future. I would love a holiday - but I am willing to for-go one this year to aid my DF journey. This will have to be handled very carefully with OH or he will have a massive strop!
Notification of this years council tax ... gone up by £2 a month - so not too bad.
Started a de-clutter of the house... managed 2 x drawers in the kitchen! Whoo-hoo! OH seems to think that he has done his bit by having the discussion about doing it. Erm....NO! lol
I believe this weeks shopping to have come in about £60. Went to L*dl on Sunday and stocked up on meat and tinned stuff. Not sure if it was just because it was Sunday but some of their veg didn't look too bright. It also annoyed me that some of the bits I was looking at weren't priced!! I was pleased with what we got for our money though!! Need to eat more out of the freezer so we can stock up!
Had chicken/turkey tagine last night - because there was an old jar of tagine sauce in the cupboard that was annoying me... and it was chicken AND turkey because there was one fresh turkey breast in the fridge which wasn't quite enough for 2 of us! OH didn't even notice. He did however really enjoy the tagine despite turning his nose up at it in the beginning. Small victories and all!
5 weeks today since I bought my last packet of cigarettes... have had a couple of OH's rollies in this time but I am not going to beat myself up! Need to get some more vapouriser juice tomorrow as I am using 'cappucino' at the mo... and it is foul!!

And I think that is it! Quite dull really - but that's how it goes. Plodding is s l o w !!!

    Have a great weekend All!

ps, OBNW - hope you had a fantastic time last weekend!? x

Oh OBNW - big move!! I have only moved once in my life (I mean properly moved rather than to and from Uni)... and I hated it. And that was just from one rented property to another.... I have warned OH that when we buy, I am not going to be a very pleasant person to be around - I think it is mainly because I will not be in control. Scary! You will be fine though!! I have my fingers crossed for the swiftest ever completion!! x Glad the job is going well; one less thing to worry about!

Well, I am at work this morning - despite it being my day off! Staff shortages!! Would rather be asleep still, but it is all a few more pounds in the pot! :O) Should only be here for a few hours!

Right - have a great weekend all - although it looks a bit grey out! xxx
