Oh no, that isn't good that they have sent you the wrong one.
How embarrassing, I've checked my acknowledgment and that says Luminous  Yet I'm certain I ordered Nude   And I've written to them querying it too, oh how embarrassing!
Antibiotics are horrid but a necessary evil sometimes. You never know, the healing EB might do wonders for your skin - it's not just the allantoin which they bung in, zinc is healing too.

Oops, I am sure it's just a slip. At least it's only a 77p sample and not a £10 pot!
I'm hoping the healing foundation will work well, I certainly don't feel as though it's doing any bad. I'll go with the antibiotics again (if I can find them from whichever box they got put in when I moved house) as I'm not quite ready to try Roaccutane that my friend is trying to convince me go to the docs and request.

I've had a response from Nicola already! She can see I made a mistake but she's going to pop a Nude sample in the post for me. How nice is that?! :T
I've told her it's all Jeannie's fault

Ah thats great that she's been able to send you some new samples. Sounds like she's very understanding.
I must admit I was quite impressed with the sample of Barley that I tried yesterday. It didn't look as yellow or as dark on my skin as I'd thought it would. Very even coverage from all samples though which is great. I am so pleased with EB.
I've still not tried the Sunshine sample yet... I do have a feeling that look to dark on my skin but I am still going to try it, though on a day when I have time to wash it off and start again if it isn't quite right. Probably will try it tomorrow.
My Only slight issue is that maybe about half an hour after I have put the foundation on the skin on my face feels a little itchy or stings a little (I dont know how best to describe the feeling) It's not unbareable and it doesn't last too long, it doesnt make my skin go red so I dont think it's a reaction to anything in it, but I was wondering if anyone else had had this sort of sensation when using it?
As I say it settles down and I dont feel it for the rest of the day so maybe it's just my skin reacting to the new product. I am going to look more closely at other Brushes too. The one I have is nice but the hair is quite coarse and stiff rather than being softer and silkier than some that I have seen. Maybe its that. I seem to remember reading somewhere on this thread about some one having a prickling sensation from the brush that they were using. Do you think it could be the same thing?
Overall it's not going to make me change the foundation that I am using, as its bearable and doesn't last more than a few mins at a time. It just would be nice not to have the irritation.
Anyways, let me know if you have any suggestions about what it might be.
I hope you're doing ok with your samples from EB Veronarona.
Oh and I think I have convinced a friend of mine to try EB MMU as well. She'd once used Avons version of it and wasn't impressed by it but she says that she woudlnt' mind trying one she has seen to be working, and now she has seen how it looks on my skin, she's looking into getting some samples :T
Anyway, off for lunch break now.Back in a bit.

ALR - have you read about my great quest for allantoin? - healing properties found in EB's foundation. I also found a comfrey ointment which was very rich in allantoin. It is very greasy - so I only apply at night, I also found using Liz Earle light moisturiser just right for me for the day time under the MMU.
It is a bit hit and miss trying to find what suits ones skin. I can try and find the link if you want to try it. I took me several months - roughly - but my skin has never ever been as good as it is now - sadly its taken nearly all my life to find stuff that does! I think just purely using the EB healing foundation will help hugely. I found the comfrey calmed my skin down in the evening after taking off my make up.
That's another thing... I gave up on cleansers and cleansing methods as I found Johnsons baby wipes suited me better than anything I have tried!!
Its been well over a year now - and the thought of putting wet sludgy stuff on my skin makes me cringe....... :eek:Genie

I don't remember seeing the Allantoin quest no, but maybe I'm a forgetful sod.... :rotfl:
Was it part of this thread? It does seem to be having an effect, even with me only having used it for a week now I've had no real break outs, no feeling or look that my pores (which can be quite large in areas) are blocked or enflamed. I can see a big difference in the foundation.
I might look at the Liz Earle stuff for moisturiser... then I'm also tempted to get some more of the Neutrogina oil-free moisturiser as it did seem to work for me ok. I was going to go to Space NK next time I was near them and see if I could pick up some samples of moisturisers that might work for my skin. I know that they have some great premium brands, but I dont want to spend lots of money in there and get something that I find out just doesn't work. (Another reason why I chose EB over Sheer cover and the like)
I've used wipes before and they work as well as anything. (I've been using ones by Simple, but often find that they feel chemically on my skin afterwards) Never thought to try baby wipes... I might have to get some in town tomorrow!
My Shopping list is building up... I'm going in search of a suitable bowl to use for measuring/swirling my powders onto my brush in the mornings. I've been using the top off a cleanser spray bottle until now but it's too small and too angular really.
Also going to see if I can find any decent brushes in town.... its a long shot but would be nice to have a look and feel of them before I buy them so will see what is out there that I can see before I look on the net.
If you do have any links though Jeannie, I'd be greatful as I am always on the look out for tried and tested products, especially now ones that work well with MMU.
Thanks again:starmod: :starmod: :starmod: "Live like you mean it, Love 'til you feel it" :starmod: :starmod: :starmod:- The Goo Goo Dolls0 -
I didn't really like the Kabuki brush much. I got one from EB that has a longer handle. I swirl in the lids of the foundation pots, dip a bit into one or two different shades depending on what mood I am in! If I want to look a bit tanned I add a bit of cinnamon. I'm probably a different shade each day!
I tried using a small bowl - but then I used too much powder and it all went on caked looking! I think I tend to fluff it on rather than buff - and when a brush is new, don't buff or fluff too hard as it can sort of scratch.
I don't know what brushes are on EB site - I know it has changed and I really can't afford to look ........... I end up spending!
Re the Johnsons wipes - I tried the really sensitive ones once and they were a bit chemical like, just go for the bog standard ones - sorry about the pun there...Genie

I don't like short handled brushes & I don't really like loose powders.
If they did more mineral stuff in pressed powders I would try it more.0
