    So, we're all itchy!

Even the palms of my hands are itchy and dry... :o My right foot has flared up with ecsema -no thats not spelt right - its always my right foot, never the left!

This time last year I was really chilling out in Cyprus.... and my skin was perfection (well, as good as it can be at my age!) Wish I could get the lottery up.

Me too :( I wonder if it's a reaction to the hot weather we've had.

You've just reminded me that I've got BE Tan too! Never used it  I'm wondering now if I could get away with it, but BE used to make my skin prickle when I was using it a few years ago. Still, nothing ventured...

Give it a try, Im not having any trouble with it, its the foundations that itch me - but tbh since my face has calmed down so much this last year I can even wear that without trouble. My skin really is a lot less reactive to cosmetics since I went so " natural"

Having read through the thread and looked at some of the on-line sites I discovered today that a company called bareMinerals ? has a stand in my local JL.

    Has anyone used this company?

It would be easier to get advice face-to-face rather than trying to guess what shade to order from a computer screen.

There are alot of people on here that have got on with BareMinerals. If I were you, I would get some sample pots from lots of different ones to see if they suit you.

Some of us have very sensitive skin - mine in verging on neurotic! I can only get on with Elemental Beauty. It's all trial and practice.

Bare Minerals is Bare Escentuals who market themselves as being the original mineral make up.

It was the first i tried

Go get a make over at JL or debenhams see if you like it. Some of us find it makes our skin itchy and some find it too shiny but lots get on just fine with it

    Hi everyone,
A friend recommended that I try Sheercover mineral Make-up. I googled it to have a look and this thread came up right underneath Sheercover's official website. I've been reading it over the last 2 days (I'm a slow reader) and have found it very very interesting and highly useful.

I am 24 and have very tempremental skin... very oily, spot prone, sensitive and burns very easily. I currently use Maybelline's 'Pure.Mineral liquid foundation', but after reading what has been said on here about how high streets aren't the 'pure mineral' that they make out to be, I definately think I am going to change.

I don't tend to have many problems with allergies but was put off Sheercover initially by the feedback about how Bismuth can irritate sensitive skin.

However, I am going to take some very informative advice from this thread and order some Elemental Beauty samples and brushes as they seem to be the most raved about and tend to suit every skin so it sounds like a good place to start.

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone for some excellent advice and hope even after all the experimentations and mishaps etc that your skin is looking and feeling better.
I hope mine will settle down using Mineral Makeup too.

    Amy :D

You're a star, Amy, for taking the time and trouble to read this l-o-n-g thread and glean the info from it that you need and I look forward to your feedback. I hope you're pleased with EB, I'd love to order it myself but I mustn't, I mustn't, I mustn't!!! (Lots of MMU in the makeup box and no money in the kitty :()

Actually, I have one quick question which I don't think the thread answered (From what I read, but I am sorry if someone did comment on it and I've missed it)
Whats the best way to apply the concealer? I am looking at getting the Colour Corrector Healing Minerals concealer from EB, but am unsure of how best to apply it, e.g. what sort of brush is best or is it easier to just use a finger (one with a short nail, lol)
I am getting the Kabuki brush from EB to try with the foundtation samples. At £10.79 and along with everyones recommendations it looks pretty good value. And had also thought about getting the Eyeshadow brush perhaps to apply the concealer with but I dont know if it would do the job?

Do you have any thoughts veronarona, you seem to be the font of all knowledge on MMU. (I write MMU and immediately just think of Manchester Met Uni... oops!)

Oh and just as a heads up, EB has 10% off all products at the moment because they've just launched their new website by the looks of things.
Not that I want to encourage you to spend more money increasing your collection. Lol. :silenced: Just really so everyone knows.

    Amy
