speakingofart - I had a similar problem with sleeping a while ago and I eventually worked out that it was red wine causing the problem. I only need a glass of it and I will be awake from the early hours.
fmess - we had a dog crate for our Lab when he was a pup mainly so that he couldn't chew everything we owned but he did get house trained very quickly as they don't like to soil their own area so you shouldn't have too long to put up with the mess.
thrifty - hope the cat gets better soon. Those vets know how to charge don't they:eek:.
Today will be a spend day, the grocery delivery is coming at lunchtime then I am nipping into a small town nearby with the kids to look around the shops and charity shops in the hope they might have some cheaper bits there. Will post an ebay parcel when there too, have some more bits finishing today which is proving a pain as I have to keep going to the PO but it's my own fault for listing in dribs and drabs.
Cold is in full swing now, I am going for a run in about 1/2 hour but I'm not sure how I'll feel so won't push too hard.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hello everyone,
Sorry for lack of check-in yesterday, wednesday is my crazy busy work day. A NSD though, so good for something! Today should be as well, so I'm gradually building them up.
Thrifty - hope cat is feelking better soon, at least you know what the problem is now.
crazy_lady - that is fab news about the CC!
CEW - sounds like you are feeling better about work situation, hope decision making is OK.
Dolly - look after yourself and take it easy, hope cold is better soon.
We are off to Ireland tomorrow at a horrendously early hour, back late on Monday, so no opportunity to post of a few days - hope everyone has a lovely weekend. I have a small budget of euros left over from last time we went, shouldnm't be need for more as we're staying with family - I just need to avoid the lure of 'I'm on holiday, I may as well..." spending!

Sneaking on at work...
The hairwashing is going wrong! The first 2 times I did it, there was no problem, but the last 2 times, my hair has ended up matted and yukky. Hmmm. Must go and research it all again, to find out where I am going wrong.
Got a surprise package throught he post yesterday from a lovely virtual friend - lots of ribbons for my crafting. I was soooo happy. And am still smiling when I think about it. Some lovely people out there!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Today will be an SFD. Spend most off the morning in the garden with the kids in glorious sunshine.
The exersice and "diet" is paying off now which is great. But won't try my dress on again till the end of the month.
Not much else to report

Hullo lovelies
Argh how annoying, the computer decided to shut down at the end of a long post to configure updates and then after re writing the post I clicked on ctrl and c then somehow lost the lot again!
Anyrowd, Fmess, hope Diesel is out of the dog house after yesterday's naughty number 2 fiasco!
Crazy lady Great to hear you will be credit card free next month, those sacrifices are worth it :T
Declaring a spend day today but only on milk! Trudged to Waitrose hoping to buy stickered milk but the only one available was skimmed! Ended up buying a pint of full priced full fat milk instead which I'll water down to make a semi skimmed 2 pinter :T
Am working a late overtime shift in a few hours and have decided to drive in today and give the cycling a rest! The deal is to cycle in for normal shifts and have a luxury drive in for additional shifts
Started reading Kath Kelly's book the other day which makes for an inspirational read! Once your travels are complete Kat, you should write a book and share your story so others can benefit from your experiences :A
Gonna get ready for work now, hope you all have a lovely rest of the day.. TTFN

Ps Mothernerd, spotted your thanks, hope you and your leg are keeping ok out therexx

So people. I have researched hotels and have finally decided on a beautiful resort in Thailand on the Island of Koh Lanta for 12 days of doing nothing... I shall be renting a motorbike while there, taking a cooking class or two, eating a lot, investigating the local Muay Thai school and working on my pasty white body that needs a bit of a glow....
I am chuffed with myself.
Very swift check in as I have a lot of work to day and half the day has gone. Saw Chef last night - not requiring a big screen - but has given me ideas for a "pulled pork" jackfruit sandwich (go on google it) and then went to the gym to thrash some weights.....
Bed at 2300 and I am pooped.... loving this gym life though! I can see subtle changes in my physique already albeit not much..
Right meeting my cousin after work so I shall check in once home and dry!
Sorry I have not had time to read the posts from last night and this morning but I shall catch up later!

Well it turns out the problem with the cat peeing everywhere was also due to just having one litter, although it never bothered her before. Now she uses the old one for poos and the new one for pees rather than the house, result.
Had a lovely day in the garden and DS (3) spend one and a half hours in his 2 feet diameter paddling pool, lol.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -

Dd used to play for ages with an old washing up bowl for a pool! She recently had a bucket, but kept getting stuck in it as she tried to get herself wet all over.

Thanks folk for the cheering on
It has really helped me to refocus. Feels a little bit now like losing weight - you get so close, but then the last bit takes forever because you have done all the easy stuff, and are lacking motivation and energy. Not that I ever get to a target weight
but I am determined to have zeros right across my signature soon (family loan aside). Keep thinking at the moment how good it will feel to see the family loan going down in big chunks once there are no other debts to pay towards. I am however planning some much needed building work next year, so a huge incentive to clear debts and save save save. Moomin - your decorating sounds lovely, I'm glad you are nearly there!
Had a spend day today, petrol (should have filled up yesterday really) just £10 as I think that should take me to payday (Tuesday) ok. All a bit glum on the relationship front at the moment, so time to throw myself into money saving rather than money spending!
Tonight though, DD and I have promised ourselves a very early night. I'm just waiting for the washing machine to finish so I can peg out her PE kit for the morning, then bed is calling! With a book but only for an hour or so - lights out at 9. We really need our sleep at the moment0 -
Hello everyone.
Been a bit of a rough evening. The day was great but then it took a sharp decline so feeling a bit rotten. Won't bore you with the details as it will just make me cry again and I am trying to be brave.
Besides, it is quite insignificant compared to other people's problems so it feels a bit insensitive writing it on here.
:embarasse
So... slept for the morning (was on nightshift) then took my mum over to her sister's house. We went out for a flea cup (cup of tea and cake) but mum and auntie paid (I am designated driver and cousin "never has money" despite working full time).
Bought OH some reduced sauces using money I had spare so shopping budget remains untouched.
Does mean it is a spendy day though.
OH's dad is coming up tomorrow so not sure how this weekend is going to go. Right now, feel like going away on holiday and leaving them to it.
Glad to hear your kitty is a wee bitty better. It's always nice when they show some sign of improvement, reduces the worry a little.
Hugs to everyone.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91
