DD has just remembered that she needs a beach ball for tomorrow evening. Our last one came from Waitrose ages and ages ago, but it has burst and last time we were there they weren't selling them any more. Any suggestions of the kinds of places we should go tomorrow looking to see if anyone's got them in? I've already tried Argos but they don't sell them.
Thanks.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I'm just trying to imagine the scene... driving through the valley, rounding a corner and seeing a man in a field wearing a tool belt and a pair of Speedos.
I'm not convinced my eyes would stay on the road. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Does this mean that lots of dog furniture is going completely? Where will the dogs sleep? Have you got exciting new plans for them? I remember you were looking at pics of unusual dog beds a while ago. Have you decided what you want?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Re beach balls... my local Tesco had some. I'd also try pound shops, Wilkos, B&M, that sort of place. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? ATM the plan is transient. I'm thinking dog dog and kiwi might move into the lobby by down stairs loo and having spoken to non RP that big dog would not be unfairly treated over summer to sleep in the utility. In winter it would be too cold out there for her if she's still here. She might get scooby bed that garden room they have now at night time, but not with the others I think. Or maybe front hallway.
When its just kiwi and dog dog I think I want night time beds in the front hall way/ understairs, like a cubby hole with a gate, so its snug, but they can guard, but I can put them in some where when people are here. I would have liked it to be the back lobby. At a later date still, when its not dog dog any more, we'll probable re consider for back lobby. Back lobby has advantages ( loveY and warm, direct access to outside) so I haven't ruled it out yet, but when guests are here it blocks their access to loo with out passing dogs, and dog dogs legs are too long for a bed raised how I want it, how ever I try. She's game now, but not sure its that safe.0 -

I will be. No curtains though .... I could pin some nets I've already got up at the main window downstairs if only I had a ladder and masking tape0 -
Argentina for me, nice to have different types of teams in the finals (and that is what I predicted in the mega work competion). IN fact 0-0 and Argentina on penalties will get me maximum 11 points and with my Brazil prediction might take me from 16th to near the top of the leader board.
Well done Michaels. After a good start, I'm now in negative territory with my predictions. The Bookie always wins.
Sunday could be an interesting game, with the Brazilians now supporting Germany. The Argentinians are going to try taunting them at the match with a song.

They might have found they've bitten off more than they can chew if they sing it. Other South American Football supporters also have a song. Basically translated it says ' Gay, cowardly Argentinians, you couldn't even keep the Falkland Islands' :eek:That should go down well! :rotfl: My other favourite is when Chile play Boliva. The chant is what's it like to have no sea, or Vanos A La Playa, see you at the Beach!0
