Hugs for the disappointment - I do understand that it is real, and that this house is not by any means all you were hoping for. But it is yours, and you are free of all the frustrations of renting that have been driving you nuts. My vendors took all the curtain poles with them. When you are renting you have time to clean the property while it is empty, because you usually have a gap between moving out and handing back the keys. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

DD1s actual birthday today, the box of 2,000 loom bands got upset and all mixed up, DD was very upset so I have spent half an hour sorting out tiny elastic bands into different compartments by colour. Next half hour spent getting the remains of plastic milk bottle off the hob that DW had melted on to it.
I have seen some horrifying pictures on Facebook of kids falling asleep with a band wrapped around 2 fingers and the fingers turning blue.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Phew! Glad it's not "that bad". I have to say that I'm still thinking of getting someone in to do it for us... But that's because I'm not fit enough to do it, and OH tried to clean it once already :eek: with only marginal success. :rotfl: He really does his best, but with doing the majority of the housework and all the cooking I think he deserves to not have to clean the oven.
The shelves you can take outside to treat, less fumes in house that way if you need to use heavy duty stuff on them.
I still think it's totally off to leave a house dirty when you leave, unless you know it's a definite rip out and renovate happening. Hugs to you PN, :grouphug: I did have a bath this morning, so am fairly clean.
