Riff raff. She was going to give me a flag for my bathroom window. I politely declined.

You'll cry when you see your room here... you'll wish you had an England flag....

I love the way you describe it as being really light. How fab. :D

It's like endless sky..... no trees getting in the way. Now, if there's a night sky event I stand a good chance of seeing it!

    ....
    :)

I sleep in tents at festivals.

I live in a student house.

I shared a studio flat with my then bf. One of my friends stayed over once, as did my brother.

    No worries :)

It's very frustrating. I could resolve the washing machine problem in moments.

I think this sums up how NP feel about doing small things that would ease your life whilst the going is tough.

A very long time ago, before there were Nice People, a nice person came over and looked after the Generalissimos for Mrs Generali as she had PND.

I'll never forget that act of kindness.

Sneak preview of what youngest will look like for his prom tomorrow...although he will be a little tidier.

We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

DD1s actual birthday today, the box of 2,000 loom bands got upset and all mixed up, DD was very upset so I have spent half an hour sorting out tiny elastic bands into different compartments by colour. Next half hour spent getting the remains of plastic milk bottle off the hob that DW had melted on to it.

You get a major Dad award for that action, Michaels. And a similarly large Husband prize!

What are loom bands / elastic bands for?

I need to clear out my chest of drawers and the top shelf of the pantry. I have managed to defer these jobs for more than a year so far...you are making me feel very guilty.

A week before Kermie was born, and 10 days before he was due, OH and Isaac went to buy new shelves from Ikea for my study - I mentioned it at the time. Since we moved in, spare boxes of stuff and other assorted detritus had been stashed in my study.

OH built them, I mostly emptied the study, and we were going to finish off before the baby came.

I was absolutely, 100% certain that the baby would be late, it was a question of how late, not whether he would be late. So we still have the now-built shelves standing uninstalled in the living room.

Just goes to show that being "certain" isn't remotely the same as being "right".....
    Really weird question alert.

Where does one buy really short shorts for men? My neighbour has them, but he is in his seventies. My dad used to have some I think?

You probably buy them in the 1970s and never chuck 'em out?

Buy a pair of normal shorts and turn the hems up?

    Wear pants instead?

Nikkster - I do have four mugs.... but if you've your own sort/favourite, then I won't be offended if you bring yours. I sometimes take mine to my sibling's then get "told off" as she's dozens of mugs ... yeah, but I don't like any of those :)

Self-catering places are bad for that - if I wanted a thimble full of tea at breakfast time I'd have one....
