Built in microwaves need very little space above/around them - maybe to make them safe there's more engineering involved. I think my £20-25 microwave from Mr S needs nearly 1' of space above it.... and some around it too.

If it's just for resale, could you get an ebay one? Get the model you want, then see if there are any on ebay where somebody's taking a kitchen out?

Does there need to be a microwave in there at all?

LIR, those chairs on your posh alert terrace are a very nice red. Did they come like that, or did you paint them? Can you leave them outside all the time?

    Hahahaha he.

That's funny. I hate the red.

But I don't know if yo
U can see from the picture the state they are in. Shabby chic without the price tag. They were via ebay bought as cast iron but are not, so we told seller they were ''agin' a lard' and who met our complaint very graciously with a very fair return of money.

We were going to paint them but for now I think with everything else so new and raw the old table and chairs ( which have white paint so lodges on them, and the red peeling to reveal green in two shades) looks best as is, roughs things up a bit.

I used to live with a Malaysian girl who used to make samosas. Bloody good!

Slow day here. Trying to sort my finances out. I don't mind things being messy, but the job centre just might, and I don't want to land myself in trouble, get sanctioned etc. I have a spread betting account that I use for the occasional punt on a share; so should I declare the funds I have in there, the 'equity' I have in there, the total exposure I have to stocks in there? If I make a profit, should i declare that even though it's non taxable as a gambling win? Decided in the end just to close everything and pull all the cash out. It's not sensible to gamble like that anyway, and at the tax payers' expense too! Bloody scroungers.

So I'll apply for a couple of jobs later. And it's garlic chicken for dinner :)

I messaged the german girl last night, suggesting we grab a coffee. No reply as yet; three day rule and all that.

There is no 3 day rule. If somebody likes you, there's no such thing as "too soon" .... and if they don't then it doesn't matter how long anybody waited.

I think I'd like to make "samosa cakes" ..... so make up the filling, then coat them in something to shallow fry. While the pastry on them is a handy container, it's never been that exciting for me, I just like the middle bit.

    Slow day here

Can't be as slow as over here.

Things are not going well (unless you count substantial overeating as going well).

    Meh.

Sounds a bit like a pakora to me.

Oh I know, I know. I'm just hanging on to that as, like I say, she hasn't yet replied :p

I'm not too bothered really. It would be nice to go out with someone different though.

I like the texture of the pastry if it's nice and crispy.
